Samsung phones

In the past decade, Samsung has risen to become the largest manufacturer of mobile phones in the world, and the number one manufacturer of smartphones. The reason for Samsung's success has been cutting-edge technology (especially high-quality AMOLED displays and digital cameras) packaged in attractive designs. Samsung has a key advantage in being one of the world's electronics giants, with expertise in a wide range of key technologies.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 takes Samsung's infinity screen concept into new territory, with an enormous 5.8 inch quad-HD dual-curved display packed into a compact handset. Brimming with market-leading features, the Galaxy S8 is the best-looking and arguably the best-equipped phone on the market in 2017, but it has a price to match.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is an enhanced version of the S8+. Even thicker and heavier, it's a massive phone and won't be suitable for everyone. But it offers the same incredible curved AMOLED display and top-end specs as the S8+, plus an S Pen, dual lens camera, iris scanner and 6GB of RAM, making it the most powerful phone ever.

We draw your attention to its superb AMOLED HD screen, exceptional battery life, Android Marshmallow, 16GB of memory and 2GB of RAM. The Snapdragon 410 processor isn't the fastest in town, but it gets the job done.

Samsung Galaxy S7 reviewSamsung Galaxy S7 review
The Samsung Galaxy S7 launched in the UK on 11th March. Building on the Galaxy S6, the S7 features an all-metal water-resistant design with a 5.1 inch Quad HD display. It uses Samsung's new super-fast 8-core Exynos 8 processor, and includes a microSD card slot, allowing the memory to be expanded to 200GB. A new dual pixel camera enables even better low-light photography, and the new selfie flash lets you capture perfect shots of yourself and your friends. An enhanced 3,000mAh battery keeps the phone going for longer. The S7 is already priced very competitively for a flagship phone, and we don't hesitate to recommend it.

The ever-popular Samsung Galaxy J5 has been upgraded for 2017 with a full metal body, and a fingerprint sensor embedded in the home button. It's a smart, slim phone with a good-sized 5.2 inch AMOLED screen and fast performance from its 8-core Exynos processor. The new 13 megapixel front camera will be welcomed by selfie fans, and battery life remains strong. It's a good all-rounder, but we'd like to see the price fall.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge reviewSamsung Galaxy S7 Edge review
The Edge version of the Samsung Galaxy S7 costs £70 more than the standard S7 but offers a larger screen - 5.5 inches instead of 5.1 inches. And of course, the screen is curved at the left and right edges, making the Galaxy S7 Edge the best-looking smartphone of 2016 in our view. With an 8-core processor, expandable memory, superb new camera and a monster battery, it's arguably the best phone all-round.

Samsung E950 review - This babe of a phone is a stunningly beautiful black & silver sliding smoothy, with a novel touch-sensitive pad with virtual menus.
Samsung F210 review - Available in pink, blue or black, the F210 is a tiny device that acts as a phone and a music player.
Samsung F300 review - The F300 is a music phone with an experimental flipper design. In our opinion the flipper design is a flawed concept and causes many problems with no real benefits. One to avoid!

Samsung G810 review - The Samsung G810 was never fully released in the UK and we will not be reviewing it. Read the consumer reviews below for more information.
Samsung Galaxy A3 2016 review - The Samsung Galaxy A3 2016-edition is probably our favourite mid-range phone! We doubt that you'll find another compact premium handset this good for less than £300. Sleek metal-and-glass looks give the new A3 killer looks, and it packs in a high spec too - a HD AMOLED screen, a fast quadcore processor, and strong battery life.
Samsung Galaxy A3 review - The Galaxy A3 from Samsung is a mid-range phone with a premium metal design. It's compact, ultraslim, and exceptionally light in weight, and is quite possibly the nicest-looking phone you can own in this price category.
Samsung Galaxy A5 review - The Samsung Galaxy A5 has an ultraslim, aluminium design and an excellent selfie camera. But although it costs less than the flagship S5, its mid-range spec means that it's still over-priced for what you get.
Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 review - The Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 is an impressive mid-range phone, delivering the power of Android without any major compromises.
Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 review - The Galaxy Ace 3 is Samsung's mid-range Android phone for 2013. It's like the S4 Mini, but with slightly lower specs and is a good choice if you can't afford the S4 Mini.
Samsung Galaxy Ace 4 Neo review - You might think that the Galaxy Ace 4 Neo is an updated version of Samsung's popular Ace 4 smartphone. Instead, it's a downgraded version with very poor performance. Everything is below par, even when considering the phone's low price. There are a number of decent smartphones available for less than £100, but the Ace 4 Neo isn't one of them.
Samsung Galaxy Ace 4 review - The Samsung Ace 4 is a competent, compact Android phone that doesn't cost too much. It comes with a 4.3 inch display, a quad-core processor and 4G. But it's outperformed by rivals that offer better screens, superior cameras and longer battery life.
Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus review - The Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus is an upgraded version of the number-one selling mid-range smartphone. With a good sized screen, a fast processor, plenty of memory, fast internet and Google Maps, it takes a lot of beating. If only the battery life were better it would be perfect.
Samsung Galaxy Ace review - The Samsung Ace is a smart-looking Android phone with a larger-than-average 3.5 inch display, a decent 800 MHz processor, and a good camera. Other highlights include GPS with Google Maps, high-speed internet, and Wi-Fi. But its battery life and reliability are questionable, and it can't compete against the best Android phones.
Samsung Galaxy Alpha review - The Samsung Galaxy Alpha brings premium styling to the Galaxy smartphone range. It's a superslim, ultra-lightweight Android phone with good performance, but not quite in the superphone league.
Samsung Galaxy Apollo review - The Samsung Galaxy Apollo is a cut-down Android smartphone with features such as a 3.2 inch touchscreen, aGPS, 3D sound, DivX video playback, fast internet access, and a good web browser.
Samsung Galaxy Europa review - The Samsung Europa GT-I5500 is a cut-price Android smartphone that manages to steer a fine line between cost-cutting and preserving essential Android features.
Samsung Galaxy Fame review - The Samsung Galaxy Fame is a cute and compact smartphone running Android Jelly Bean. A small battery and a sluggish processor are the only downsides.
Samsung Galaxy Fit review - The Samsung Galaxy Fit is a budget Android phone that doesn't compromise too much on spec.
Samsung Galaxy Mega review - The Galaxy Mega is a big phone that gives you a lot for your money. Its number-one selling point is the 6.3 inch screen, which is ideal for apps and games, but its size also makes it unwieldy.
Samsung Galaxy Mini 2 review - The Galaxy Mini 2 is a compact phone clearly designed as a budget first smartphone.
Samsung Galaxy Mini review - The Samsung Mini is a compact smartphone, even though the word Mini seems to be an exaggeration.
Samsung Galaxy Nexus review - The Samsung Galaxy Nexus is the most advanced Android phone released, and the first to run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Samsung Galaxy Note 2 review - With the largest screen of any smartphone, the Note II is a very special device. The S-Pen stylus and a unique range of productivity tools brings a new level of functionality. Equipped with 4G, a quad-core processor, ample memory and an enormous battery, the only downsides to this phone are its size and its price.
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 review - A monster screen and monster specs make the Galaxy Note 3 perfect for power users. The ugly fake leather on the back and its sheer bulk must count against it, but overall it scores 4.5 out of 5.
Samsung Galaxy Note 4 review - It may seem harsh to give this astounding piece of technology just 4 stars. But the fact is that the Note 4 costs substantially more than the Note 3 but doesn't bring any significant life-enhancing new features to the table.
Samsung Galaxy Note Edge review - The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge has a unique curved display with notifications and alerts displayed at the edge of the phone. The phone is supremely powerful with a Snapdragon 805 processor, Quad HD AMOLED display, S-Pen functionality, plenty of memory, an outstanding camera and comprehensive connectivity. It's an absolute powerhouse, but the ultimate phone doesn't come cheap.
Samsung Galaxy Note review - With a 5.3 inch HD screen and a stylus, the Samsung Galaxy Note is a cross between a PDA-style phone and a tablet.
Samsung Galaxy Note7 review - The Samsung Galaxy Note7 is built on the same platform as the S7 Edge, sharing its stunning curved-glass design, with a huge AMOLED Quad HD screen, 8-core processor, outstanding camera, and a huge amount of memory. In addition it adds S-pen functionality, making it a superb productivity tool. But the sky-high price and serious problems with the battery can't be over-looked.
Samsung Galaxy Portal review - The Samsung Galaxy Portal is an Android phone, but it uses last year's technology. It's a good enough phone, and not too expensive, but being average isn't good enough these days when there are some truly amazing alternatives available.
Samsung Galaxy Pro review - The Samsung Galaxy Pro offers the twin benefits of a physical QWERTY keyboard and a touchscreen-controlled Android smartphone.
Samsung Galaxy S Advance review - The Samsung Galaxy S Advance is a higher-end smartphone running Android 2.3 (Gingerbread).
Samsung Galaxy S review - One year after its launch, the Samsung Galaxy S is still one of the very best phones on the market.
Samsung Galaxy S2 review - The Samsung Galaxy S2 is Samsung's flagship phone for 2011 and is the first Samsung phone to be powered by a dual-core processor.
Samsung Galaxy S3 4G LTE review - The Samsung Galaxy S3 4G LTE adds superfast 4G broadband to the S3's already formidable arsenal.
Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini review - The Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini is a smaller version of the top-selling Galaxy S3. The 4 inch screen, dual-core processor, Android Jelly Bean and S Voice speech recognition system make it a good performer, but you'll need to shop around for a good price.
Samsung Galaxy S3 review - The Samsung Galaxy S3 is Samsung's flagship phone for 2012. With an enormous HD screen, a superfast quad-core processor, the latest Android 4.0 software, voice recognition, advanced photo & video capabilities and a monster-sized battery, it's way out in front of the competition.
Samsung Galaxy S4 Active review - A rugged version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 Android superphone with a 5 inch 1080p display, quadcore processor and the ability to film underwater to a depth of 1 metre.
Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini review - The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini is a smaller version of the top-selling Galaxy S4. Superslim and ultra lightweight, we'd rate it as the best Android phone you can get of its size.
Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom review - The Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom is really suited only to those people who use their compact digital camera more than their phone and don't mind carrying around a single bulky device that's expensive but with only mid-range performance as a phone.
Samsung Galaxy S4 review - The Samsung Galaxy S4 is an Android 4.2 superphone with a 5 inch 1080p display, 4 cores, up to 128GB memory, eye control, touchless interface and more features than we can possibly list. It's the ultimate smartphone.
Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini review - The Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini is a smaller version of the top-selling Galaxy S5. Slim and lightweight, it's an excellent Android phone, but over-priced.
Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo review - The Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo is a 2015 reboot of Samsung's S5 flagship smartphone from 2014. The Neo is almost identical to the original S5, but has an octa-core processor, an adaptive screen and an improved selfie camera. It's available in a choice of Black, Silver or Gold, and is cheaper to buy than the S5!
Samsung Galaxy S5 review - The Samsung Galaxy S5 launched in the UK on 11 April 2014. It's the fastest, most powerful Galaxy smartphone ever, with a stylish new look, fingerprint and heart rate scanners, ultra-fast camera and extended battery life.
Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus review - The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ is the best Android phone money can buy, and is a showcase for innovation and futuristic style. In our opinion, it beats the iPhone 6+ hands down. It's super expensive, but if you want the very best that smartphone technology can offer in 2015, the Edge+ really does have the edge.
Samsung Galaxy W review - A mid-to-high-end phone running Android Gingerbread and sitting between the Samsung Galaxy Ace and the Galaxy S2.
Samsung Galaxy Y review - The Samsung Galaxy Y is a bargain basement Android phone.
Samsung Galaxy Young 2 review - As its name suggests, the Samsung Galaxy Young 2 is intended as a first phone for young teens. It's very cheap, very small, and very basic. But there are better budget smartphones available, and we can't recommend the Young 2.
Samsung Galaxy Young review - The Samsung Galaxy Young is an entry-level smartphone running Android Jelly Bean. It's compact and cheap, but with very basic features.
Samsung Genio Qwerty review - The Samsung Genio Qwerty appears to be a low cost alternative to a BlackBerry, but the keyboard turns out to be a flop.
Samsung Genio Slide review - If you want a touchscreen phone with the benefit of a QWERTY keyboard and you don't want to spend big bucks, the Genio Touch is pretty well as good as it gets.
Samsung Genio Touch review - The Samsung Genio is an entry-level touchscreen phone very similar to the Tocco Lite, but with a more basic camera and a smaller screen.
