Review: July 2017 | ||
![]() Rating: In a nutshell: The Samsung UE55MU6470 is a superb value 55-inch UHD HDR TV, with support for the new HDR10 and HLG standards. The design is smart, the picture quality is good, and the Smart TV functionality is excellent, with streaming services from Netflix, Amazon, and catch-up services including the BBC iPlayer. |
Samsung MU6470 55"
The Samsung MU6470 55" is identical to the Samsung MU6400 55", except that it's finished in Dark Titan grey instead of Silver, comes with a different remote control, and uses Supreme UHD Dimming instead of UHD dimming, giving it a slightly higher Picture Quality Index (PQI). Both the MU6470 and MU6400 are highly recommended televisions, and there's little to choose between them, so shop around for the best deal. See our detailed review of the 49" MU6400 to find out more.
The MU6470 comes in 40", 49", 55" and 65" sizes.

Won’t buy another Samsung tv until they’ve sorted my
annoying issues. Forcing apps into other people’s purchases is
wrong. Giving them no option to delete those apps is wrong. Forcing
customers to view advertisements mostly from amazon prime or chili is
wrong especially when both apps are not even installed. A company that
takes 3 months to delete all data held about me is wrong and made
worse by the fact they are still in the process and it’s not
even completed yet.
The tv though is pretty decent. Pity
about the company and their values.

Brilliant UHD TV, Smart TV brings the content of 4K to your door with
Amazon, Netflix and Apple TV. Blue Ray 4k Movies via 4k Blue ray
player are exceptional. The universal remote works well and also plays
the sound out to my Yamaha AV receiver via the HDMI input which is
cool. I am going to try a pair of Sennheiser Surround sound wireless
headphones with it to see how that performs.
