Samsung UE49KU6500 review
|Review: August 2016|
In a nutshell: The Samsung KU6500 is a curved version of the top-selling Samsung KU6400 4K TV. The 49-inch KU6500 costs around £100 more than its flat counterpart, but is still a good value mid-range TV.
Samsung KU6500 - a curved version of the KU6400
The flat-screen Samsung UE49KU6400 looks like it's going to be one of the biggest selling televisions of 2016, and the KU6500 is the same, but with a sexy curved screen. You'll pay a little more for the curved look, and the curved design does limit the viewing angles of the screen. But if it fits your budget and space, it's still a very good choice for a family TV.

I am very interested in buying this tv. What cables would I need to get or do they come with every cable required?
I will be connecting a Sky box and a blue ray player to the tv. Sky box doesn't need an aerial, so do I still need to connect the aerial to the tv in order to use the tv's features such as wifi and apps etc? Would it just be a case of flipping between the Sky box, blue ray player and the tv?

You will need two HDMI cables - one for the Sky box and one for the Blu-ray player. You don't need to connect the TV to an aerial if you have a Sky box.
What headphones are recommended because of no headphone plug at back of TV.....?

It’s an amazing big screen. Ours is the 55 inch model. The picture quality is honestly breathtaking. I like that it has a Bluetooth connection and is just so much more convenient to connect to my Bluetooth headphones at night when my other half is asleep. Had this tv for around a year now and it still impresses especially when you use the built in Netflix app and it displays HDR or 4K content. Either formats look insane and gives a real wow factor to whatever we’re viewing.

Bought this TV 6 weeks ago and quickly became aware of momentary loss of sound which could occur several times in an hour. On checking this out on Google found that this is a widespread problem which Samsung is aware of. I also have expensive headphones with a standard jackplug connector which I cannot use as this tv does not have the appropriate socket.

So you marked the tv down partly for not having the connector you needed for your headphones? Maybe you should have checked this before buying?
