Samsung UE40KU6100 review
Review: October 2016 | ||
![]() Rating: In a nutshell: The Samsung UE40KU6100 is an entry-level 40-inch UHD (4K) TV with a curved screen. Picture quality is generally good, but viewing angles are restricted, so this TV is recommended for use by one person only. Motion can be juddery at times too. However, the TV has smart looks and comes with good Smart TV and connectivity options. |
Samsung KU6100 review: summary
The KU6100 is a curved screen variation on the entry-level KU6000. With a sexy curved design and a silver V-stand, this TV is definitely a good looker. It comes with excellent Smart TV and connectivity options too, making it a versatile entertainment system.
Viewing is generally good, but the screen has limited viewing angles, made worse by the screen curvature. For this reason, we'd recommend it for personal use only, or for two people who like to sit very close together on the sofa.
As this is an entry-level 4K TV, there are compromises in audio and picture quality. In particular, motion control is not very refined, although on the plus side the screen is sharp and bright, with plenty of contrast and dynamic range.

No, this TV can read HDR content, but it doesn't support 10-bit
colour, nor can it reach 1,000 nits of brightness.
