Samsung UE32F6200 review

 Review: November 2013

Rating: 4 stars

In a nutshell: The Samsung UE32F6200 is a very attractive TV with an eye-catching silver finish and great Smart TV functions.

Samsung's range of 32 inch LED TVs is extensive to say the least. Excessive might be a better word to use. The F6200 model slots in towards the top end of the range.

It's an all-round good performer, but perhaps its top feature is its designer look. Slim, smart and with an attractive silver finish, the F6200 is unquestionably one of the best-looking TVs around.

But its beauty is more than skin deep. It also has Samsung's outstandingly good SMART TV functionality and a very impressive range of connectivity options - something that many buyers overlook, to their cost. This model includes built-in Wi-Fi, an ethernet port, no fewer than 4 HDMI connections and 3 USB ports too!

While we didn't rate the picture quality of the 40-inch version of the F6200 very highly, in its 32 inch form, any shortcomings are much less pronounced. The picture quality isn't quite as good as the more expensive Samsung UE32F6400, but it's still very good.

In conclusion, we rate the UE32F6200 highly. While the RRP of £499.99 is excessive, now that you can buy it in the shops for less than £400, it seems like a good deal, especially if you appreciate a TV that will look good even when its not in use.

Bought this tv in October 2013 and it literally went up in smoke January 2016. Phoned Samsung who sent an approved repairer to collect it. Samsung simply kept repeating the 1 year warranty at me and seemed unimpressed that I believed that the tv should have lasted at least 6 to 10 years and no way should have almost caught fire after only just over 3. The repairer quoted £279 pounds to replace the burnt out circuitry and screen so totally uneconomical to have it repaired.
Paid £379 in 2013 and it was scrap by 2016 having belched black smoke and almost gone up in flames.
Think twice before buying a Samsung tv, very poor life expectancy and they are apparently not interested in protecting their reputation by providing good customer service. I believe the EU guidelines state that tv,s should last a minimum of 6 years.

I'm not very impressed with this tv I have only had it less than two years and the screen has gone It's going to cost more than a new one to fix.
