Samsung UE32F6100 review
The Samsung UE32F6100 is the same as the UE32F6400, but without the Smart TV functionality and built-in Wi-Fi. That makes the price much more attractive and it could be a good option if you already have Smart TV on a set-top box.
It's certainly a nice-looking, slimline TV with a contemporary look thanks to the narrow, glossy bezel around the edge. A metallic quad stand completes the look, and allows you to swivel the TV left and right. It's 3D capable too.
Sadly, despite being a Series 6 model, this television delivers underwhelming picture quality. The main problem is that it uses a cheap LED backlit panel, in common with entry-level TVs, resulting in poor dynamic range and loss of detail in darker areas of the screen. The 200Hz Clear Motion Rate is a step up from the Series 5 models, but it isn't enough to completely eliminate motion blur. Nor is it adequate to deliver flicker-free 3D.
Connectivity options are also reduced compared with the F6400 model. There are only 2 HDMI connections and a single USB. This does restrict the number of devices that you connect. An ethernet port is provided, but no Wi-Fi. There are also a variety of other connections including SCART and composite AV for use with legacy audio-visual equipment.
