THIS PHONE IS FANTASTIC. and being male and all that it's not a word
i would usualy use to describe such a thing as a phone. the in-built
camera is excellant compared to the nokias and the rest, the games admittadely
are a bit poor but who cares! the menus and IrDa are easy to use and
are brilliantly set out. this is a very user friendly phone. i had a
problem with the mms but i found out that you have to phone up your
operating system and they send you a text. i would recomend this phone
to absolutely anyone. big thumbs up to sagem...WELL DONE!

Sony Hands down! Screen? Far more vibrant, larger, viewable than the
Sony. Games... Dissappointed not Java Compatible, but can't have everything.
Wav and Midi files over IRDA sound great as ringtones... Sony? Will
only play Midi's as ring tones --==>THIS PHONE ROCKS!<==--

This phone is absolutely fantastic and I would recommend it to anybody
--- except the ignorant people who insist and assume that Nokia are
the best --- because they don't deserve this phone. I compared the features
on this phone with many of my friends and found they matched or excelled
the features of their phones. The built in camera is good, although
on the move you have to ensure you do not move the phone in the slightest
or you will end up with a line through your picture, or it will go fuzzy.
The large backlit screen is a great feature and pictures looks great
on it. The SMS and MMS feature is simple to use, and although the built
in games aren't great, it costs only £1.50 to download a new game via
your phone without expensive call charges. The only problem I can think
of with this phone is how it looks. Sure, it's silver and shiny, but
the buttons are far too thin and to be honest the handset looks like
a hi-tech brick. If you don't care about the looks that much, thi s
phone would be a wise investment.

the camera, it was a samsung, an expensive phone. when i got the myx-6

for 'dayna' if you wish to send a photo, you have to use MMS because

READ THIS REVIEW TO SUMMON YAW ASS UP! Look you are probably reading
this because all the other reviews you have read dont quite tip the
boat with you about 'trusting sagem', but may i just say that this phone
is absolutely outstanding. The picture quality on the phone is fantastic
and is in fact better than all other phones on the market, even the
Sony erricson P900 which is no way as good quality AND THAT PHONE IS
VERY PRICEY! i know this because i have compared my phone to almost
every other person with a camera phone at college (and that is alot).
People are also quite outstanded when they see the quality... but anyway
enough bout the camera now the phone... The phone is by far the best
phone i have ever had, some people said the keys were hard to use, trust
me they are actually very easy, i dont make any mistakes when texting.
The memory on the phone is around 2.6mb... sounds small but the pictures
actually save at around 30-40kb (high res) and around 7kb (low Res i.e
no loss of picture quality just doesnt look big on a pc screen when
transferred!) so in actual fact you could save alot of pictures on the
phone and still have space for sounds etc.. Now thats a point! the sounds...
You get all the basic c### they usually include on a sagem, but you
have the advantage of a sound recorder. The recorder DOES record sounds
load enough from a source but there are some techniques to record in
good quality. i.e record close to the speaker, but have the volume fairly
low, this will result in less distortion. I have recorded 'forget about
dre' (dr dre + eminem) and some dizzee rascal stuff and it sounds great.
The games are infusio not j ava, but if you are on orange you can get
games like 'terminator' 'crash bandicoot' and 'south park' for £1.50
a pop, not bad but you have to pay 50p for each new level you want (ouch!).
I think i have covered the main selling points of the phone but also
i must point out that it has infra red also, this has come in very handy
when wanting to transfer picture to/from your pc the cable costs £15
on dabs or ebuyer (i forget which...) and has done the trick for me
when i wanted to get new backgrounds for free just search uk mobile
phone forums for help with free stuff!. Well i think i wrapped up it
all hear... nothing left to say but buy the phone! go now! im not messin
around! Cost: £99 on orange.co.uk

Been a loyal Nokia fan for years, but latter models seem to be a bit
on the flashy, teenage riented design, so I wanted to give others a
chance. First came the Motorola T720i, average unit until the screen
when dead on me (had to turn it off, pull out the battery, put it back
on and turn it on again everytime it happened), so traded in for a Sony
Ericsson T610, best looking phone ever, small, full of functions...but...
the OS is way too slow, the camera is worst than may PC´s Logitech internet
camera, the screen is useless in strong daylight and the worst of it,
poor reception. I was ready to go back to the bulky, feature-less Nokias
when I came across the Sagem X-6, at first thought it was an asian cheapo,
but then grab a demo unit, check out the gadgets and I was truly impressed,
bought it and been hapily using it for last 3 months, the camera is
the best on the mobile market, the OS is clean, fun and fast, the potential
is tremendous when connected to a PC (no longer need to pay for extra
tone rings, pics or scrs), using my portable pc´s infrared I was able
to record my own tones rings using the latest music, I was able to create
my own screensavers and wallpapers, the thing is amazing, it supports
JPG, GIF, animated GIF, Wav, Midi and a couple more, so you´re set on
your way to own a unique profiled phone. The reception is great, I´ve
travelled to France, Spain and the Americas and signal was strong and
clear everywhere, so my advice to you is to try this phone, you won´t
regret it, ever. Oh!, the brand is french by the way, they built phones,
adsl modems and defense systems for aircraft, so I guees they´re not
technologically challenged ;)

I've had the phone a couple of weeks now, and I'm really pleased with
it. As a phone it's very usable - good reception, easy to find numbers
in the contact list, good volume - the only thing I miss is the one-key
dialling I was used to on Nokias. The display is really bright and clear,
and it's BIG. Texting is straightforward, apart from the small buttons
that everybody complains about - not quite as good as the Nokia 7250,
but better than the Sony Ericson T610 or the Samsung V200. Ringtones
are a blast - I record music off the PC or the stereo for mine - and
it's free! The camera quality is about the best of any current phone,
which is to say it's totally useless compared to the cheapest digital
camera, but is just the job for that snap in the pub. I find the menus
pretty straightforward - a few people have complained about needing
to press the green call key to unlock the display - look in Settings,
Others, Energy saving, Eco mode and you can alter that. I like it, it
stops the phone calling emergency numbers in your pocket. The build
quality seems adequate, if not outstanding, and I'm not convinced by
the styling, but those are my only gripes. Compared to its most obvious
rivals - the T610, the V200 and the 7250i - I think it's got better
features and performance - and it's cheaper. What are you waiting for?

slightly impressive is all i'm saying for the moment. good points if
ure on orange cause you can download games from infusio which have some
decent graphics.trouble is you have to keep paying 50p to download new
levels and you dont get that many to start with. text is good with large
letters but the animations that you send with messages are too small
and very basic like the type you get on an old phone. i'll give the
standby time credit even if it did last four days whileist playing games
and taking pics(though the phone was turned off at night and sometimes
during the day) now the main important aspect of why i brought this
phone was for the camera. average quality overall with standard images(ones
that are close up in focus)being displayed quite well BUT as soon as
i zoom in x2 or x3 the pic starts getting blurry and blocky ESPECIALY
when you use the zoom from the editor options the picture looks distorted.
plus when it overwrites the changes you've made e.g.(brightness/contrast)
the picture's quality decreases.dunno why but it just does! anyone feel
the same about the camera? looking at the myx6 it aint a bad phone as
it goes but i suppose sagem could have improved the screen resolution
and the pixels would have enchanced the picture quality. but who cares
its not exactly a kodak so you cantexpect too much camera wise but its
ok i guess for a mobile. anyway enjoy it while you can! or if you cant
get a gx20!

best games . i have crash bandicoot and terminator, but if not it comes
with 2 games built in it also has THE BEST ringtones ever they actually
sing , wallpapers screensavers hi-fi ringtones and on top of that it
has a digital camera with 4x zoom, if you are on a low budget and need
a good quality fone get the sagem myx-6 it is an absolute must have
10/10 only 2 bad things the fone sometimes freezes and no bluetooth.
people often moan about the buttons but after a mmonth you will get

This is one of the best phones out, firstly it has a massive 65k colour
screen add to that a digital camera with zoom, great games from orange
like crash bandicoot, and have you heard the ringtones they have real
singing its what they call hi-fi. Nokias crap polyphonics are nothing
if you want them go to www.mysagem.co.uk and get wallpapers screensavers,
and the best ringtones ever. this phone is an absolute must have, at
only 120 pounds. 10/10

a few questions: (people can email me on razanelli@aol.com- cheers)
1) it doesnt have a flash. how are pictures in the dark? 2) text messages.
how many characters are there? i heard it only allowed 80 instead of
the usual 160. 3) text message alerts- does it beep twice like nokia's
or beep continously? (may seem like a bit of a dodgy question but if
i left my phone at home the battery could be running out in theory-
just because someone has sent a text and it continues to beep). i'd
really appreciate some answers, as i dont want to buy any phone yet,
until after i've got these queries out of the way. thanks. much appreciated.

I used a French adres from a hobbie shop). Pay attention to the postcode,
it can only contain 5 numbers! Once you get your membership go to downloads

Also, the keys are too close together and I find the 4-way directional

I just can't believe that I paid nothing for this phone on contract.
What a bargain as this is one seriously neat mobile. The camera especially
is very sharp and screen display large, clear with vibrant colours and
contrast. My friend paid over £200 for the SonyE T610 and even he held
his head in shame against my Sagem X6. His camera just isn't half as
good nor can his phone do half the things the X6 can do. Recording ringtones
from music off the TV or radio is a serious plus with the Sagem X6.
My phone rings with real music where as the T610 SonyE rings to tacky
poly tones. No where near as smart. A great phone but better on the
Orange network as they can handle ExEn Infusion games to the X6 (such
as Terminator / Crash Bandi). O2 network can only support Java and the
X6 doesn't. Just wish I got it on Orange.

This is the best phone I could own. It has all the features I want and
need. It may not look like the best phone around but it makes up for
it in the features. The colour and the clarity of the phone is fantastic,
the design and speed of the menu is excellent, the options have everything!
The most important features are SMS which is fast, tells you everything
you want about the message sending/receiving and the camera is excellent,
people are amazed at the quality and the clarity, when you put it on
your pc, it is excellent quality and the zoom feature is very good!
The phone has good battery life for saying how much the phone does!
To me this phone has only one competitor, the T610 which I found rather
expensive, camera was poor and the screen is not visible in daylight.
If you're after a feature packed phone that has everything for the non-business

I've had this phone now on Orange, for a couple of months, have to say.
awesome phone. £99 on Orange (online) £130 in the Orange shops, but
other networks i think it's about £160 ish. First off, the screen is
so vibrant, and BIG, it's a joy to look at, and the inbuilt camera (with
a lens protector) takes some cracking shots. depending on the lighting
conditions of course. the size of the phone is decent enough, about
the size of a nokia 3330 or soemthing, and the battery life is pretty
good too i have found. Your mates will be well impressed, and often
dont believe it's actually so cheap ona PAYG, and not contract, especially
when they see the photo's u can take on it. It has a Infra-red port,
and i've transferred between other Sagem my-x-6's, Sony erricson's and
1 nokia with success, but many other nokia's, i havent been able to,
not sure if it was a prob wit the nokia's in question though (6100's,
and some of their other small phones) ringtones. well. i am not so keen
on the pnes on the phone. butu can make your own hi-fi ones. .. i miss
the old simple ringtones myself.. Gripe's, not many... just that there
is no indicator in the text message to say how many characters is left.
and soemtimes u can go into a 2nd message (but u dont know till u go
to send it), no bluetooth... (cant have EVERYTHING i guess for such
a good price!) the red and green buttons to anserr a call are the opposite
way round to what they are on a nokia. and at first quite often i found
myself rejecting a call by accident! If your looking for a new phone.
you cant go too wrong with one of these baby's. i love my sagem my-x6

is better than a NOKIA 7650, 7250 and 3650. I know this because I have
had all three of the phones in the past. Its not poly (what ever) ringtones
its Hi-Fi tones. I have just recordered the new Elton John song onto
the phone(no data cable needed). Its sounds excellent. Al this from
a phone that cost me just £99 on PAYG orange. Buy it from the Orange
website and pay £99 and not £129.99 from the shop. It costs £20 to get
it unlocked from orange and it took just 24hrs to do. This is a Super
cheap phone. One bad point is no Java games but you can download another

The MyX-6 is quite the mixed bag. Alongside a camera that's as good
as they get at the moment (which still only means decidedly average)
with a 640x480 image created off a 300,000 pixel CCD, a great menu setup,
a wonderfully sharp and vibrant colour screen, ample memory and support
for all the popular image and sound file formats things are not so great
when it comes to the overall level of fit and finish. The case is probably
pretty robust overall but it just doesn't have that quality look and
feel. The buttons are also too small and have slightly cheap "click"
action to them. Personally I'd have sooner paid a touch extra for a
little more class in the design stakes. The ability record your own
ringtones is a welcome addition if you're used to ordering them at £4.50
a pop, and the record and playback quality are both good, if not great.
The ability to use your own photos as a wallpaper could also save you
a pretty penny if you're someone who gets bored quickly. It's hard to
knock the phone when it's available for a mere £99 online or for around
£130 on Orange in the shops and though it lacks that touch of class
it's a worth a good deal more than £130 no matter how you look at it.
A true bargain if ever there was one, let's hope we see a new, classier
case design become available at some point. This could very well be
the camera that gets cheapo French phone manufacturer Sagem some respect,
it deserves to.
