Motorola V975 Review
Phone rating:
Review: April 2005.
The Motorola V975 is an entry-level 3G mobile. Its specification is
virtually identical to the Motorola C975,
except that it is a clamshell phone, not a "candy bar" shape.
Its 4-way scroll pad is better than the clunky joystick on the C975.
The V975 is a good all-rounder with everything that you would expect
from a 3G phone: video calling & video content downloads, integrated
mp3 player, integrated speakerphone, a good quality display, and an
expandable memory. The expandable memory is a very useful feature, enabling
you to store content like video clips and MP3 tracks on a TransFlash
card (up to 256 Mbytes), although you shouldn't expect to be able to
store as much as a dedicated mp3 player.
There are two cameras on the V975. The first points inwards and is
used for video calling. The second faces outwards and is intended for
taking pictures of people or scenes. The quality of both cameras is
fine, and the screen is large with 65k colours. It compares favourably
with rival 3G phones.
Usefully, the V975 comes with an integrated speakerphone and voice
dialling - ideal for video calls.
There is nothing really missing from the Motorola V975. It doesn't
have top-end features like Bluetooth, 262k colour screen or a megapixel
camera, but for the price you shouldn't expect that. Instead it's a
good all-round entry-level 3G phone, the only real downsides being high
weight and poor battery life.
Features of the Motorola V975 include:
- VGA camera (640 x 480 pixels) with LED flash
- Video capture, playback & downloads
- 3G video calling
- Handsfree speaker
- Internal display: TFT, 65,000 colours, 176 x 220 pixels
- Messaging: MMS, email (POP3, IMAP4)
- Polyphonic ringtones & MP3 ringtones
- Java games (embedded & downloadable)
- Phonebook (max entries dependent on memory)
- Memory: 16 Mbytes plus TransFlash memory card (up to 256 Mbytes)
- Connectivity: USB
- WAP 2.0, GPRS, 3G high-speed data transfer
- Triband + 3G
- Vibration alert
- Size: 94 x 49 x 27 mm
- Weight: 137g
- Talktime: up to 130 minutes
- Video talk time: 70 minutes
- Battery standby: up to 145 hours

battery 3)Side buttons for taking pocket pictures 4)Problematic USB

ok but thats about it. My recommendation is to stay away try and somthing

I brought this phone more than 2 years ago and at the time it was pretty
good. The only downside to it was the battery. It never lasted that
long. Now it can only mange to do 2 calls! Just looking for a new battery
since I given the phone to a family member. I ave since replaced it
with the Sony K800i and in comparison there is not contest. The phone
market is a lot better with better cameras, looks and battery power.
Some people complained about the weight. I would never consider getting
this now since there are a wider selection to choose from.

I signed up to 3 stright away on the contract as I know they are ace
in the UK. I chose the M975 cause it was cheap and man I am finding
outnthe hard way that you get what you pay for. The phone, for doing
what it was made fro (making calls) is fantastic, cause it works. i
would agree with all statements made about the bettery life, the pics
that take themsleves (due to the over sensitive side buttons, the fact
it has no bluetooth or infared is a pain. All ni all it is an average
phone...ideal fro the 3G beginer, the video is quite good, pics are
rubbish and the memory is poor. if you want to just nake calls and catch
up on the footie scores thsi is sa perfect phone, but you will be sacrificing
a few extras like bluetooth and infared, if you can handle this(the
likes of my parents could) then it is a great phone!!!

I've had this since just before Christmas and I think most of the reviewers
must have a different phone, or don't know anything about mobile phone
care. My battery life is fine- I have to charge every few days. The
camera is rubbish by current standards but is fine for snaps. It has
low memory and no Bluetooth, which are my main problems with it. It's
my first flip phone and has completely sold me the concept. I feel like
Captain Kirk every time I use it, and although it's quite clunky in
size now, compared to the first 3G phones it is tiny (I had one the
size of a housebrick until this one) and it's really not that heavy.
Reassuringly present without being a burden.

The V975 modelis not that bad of a phone generally, there are just a
few factors that start getting on your nerves in a short time. E.g.
taking pictures of your pocket and bag via side buttons, short battery
life, low memory (although with the help of a memoryb stick this can
be solved) and the outside buttons that repeatedly change my ring style!
This is what i find most annoying, I go to school and put the phone
on silent, then i find that in class my mobile is ringing! this is because
of all the bashing around in my bag has changed the ring style back
to LOUD!! Great phone, but definietly has its problems.

I've had this phone for nearly 12 months and I haven't been overly impressed
with it. What I like: The mp3 player is handy and the fact that I can
download my music to use as my ringtone. I like the weight of the phone,
personally I like having a weighty phone because I know that I have
my phone on me. I like the design of the phone and the easy access of
the camera button. What I don't like: The battery!!! The battery life
is terrible! I only have to make one or two phone calls before the battery
goes. Not good!! Although I like the MP3 player, the phone can only
hold about 5 songs and I cant send the songs to other people. The camera
quality is average but could be a hell of a lot better. I found that
the phone is easily damaged and scratched, it makes the phone look cheap.
Finally the camera button gets pressed inside my bag so I end up with
black pictures. Overall I wouldn't recommend this phone because of the
poor battery, it becomes a big bug bear.

Having read some of the reviews I think that in general the phone may
be faulty, however I have had little problem with opening of the phone
book other than at the start up and the battery life has lasted up to
2 days. Yes the lack of bluetooth is disappointing however I think this
is a good phone especially if you just want a phone with basic feautures.
The main problems i have hasd with the phone are with the camera as
the quick access buttons on the side make it simple to access however
if the phone is in your pocket you may start to hear some snaps taken
and find your photo memory is full within minutes and the second problem
is that i find this phone very fragile or im very clumsy as the silver
finish has worn to a bronze colour, the camera button on the side is
broken and the charger card is broken (THIS COST £40 TO REPLACE) Never
the less I was pleased with my phone and have another one on order.

One thing really really annoys me about this phone: battery life! Why
can't this thing hold a charge for more than a day and why does it go
from 3 bars to zero in the course of an hour? No other phone I have
ever had has done this (moto v60, v600, Nokia 3310). In terms of useability
it is annoying to open, the buttons on the outside are a real pain (they
keep resetting my ringtone, volume etc.) and the phone doesn't seem
to register the same signal strength despite never being moved (that
could be 3G though). Overall I find this phone disappointing.

Some of the people here who have given the v975 more than one star might
actually want to try using it as a phone for more than a week. Actually...
more than 8 hours is a miracle, since the battery rarely holds charge
more than a day. The built in "auto battery flatten" feature is enhanced
by another great innovation - external video camera buttons that cleverly
start the camera filming the inside of your pocket. Just in case you
think the menu might let you program these buttons to NOT do this, or
even let you lock the buttons when the phone is flipped shut, think
again. No Bluetooth or IR are sad enough in a so-called "state of the
art" phone, but added to the dismal quality still camera ( video quality
is considerably better... bizarre ) and woeful TFT display resolution
you will hardly be waiting outside your Telstra shop to buy one. I've
had mine for a month, and I'm completely over it. Very, very disappointing.
Goodbye Moto.

Hmm, people seem to have a heap of problems with this phone, so maybe
I just got lucky, but so far I have found it to be a solid and reliable
phone. I've had it a year, and have had no major problems with it. Minor
gripes are that the areial is a bit uncomfortable when it's in my pocket,
the camera buttons on the side are easily knocked, leading to alot of
pictures of the inside of my pocket, less than stunning battery life,
camera quality lacking a little, basic memory being enough to hold all
of 3 MP3s and the PC software being user unfriendly. However, I wanted
it to be a phone (rather than a fasion statement, MP3 player and personal
organiser rolled into one), and this function it performs as required,
when required, provided I charge it once per day.

I have had this phone on contract for about 9 months and the main and
BIG problem is the battery life. I have to put the phone on charge every
night otherwise it never last all the way through the second day. It
switches its self off at random and is generaly a pile of junk. The
alarm is a pain, everytime you put the phone on charge (which will be
all the time) you have to reset the ringstyle. I got this phone from
3, I reported my disatisfaction with the phone after a few weeks to
be told yes we know everyone complains about this phone !! I had the
misfortune of receiving nasty text messages from an unknown caller,
the police told me my network provider should be able to bar the calls
but apparently, its not possible on this phone according to the 3 network.
The phone is being collected for the second time tomorrow for repair
for not charging at holding its charge so again I was due to be without
a phone. DO not buy this model!

couldnt hear anyone talk, also when the phone rang - it would be very
quiet - even on max level. i sent it back 4 times - each time they would
say it's repaired but the fault was still there. in the end i went to
the link where i bought the phone and explained and demanded that they
at least provide me with a spare phone whilst i get a replacemnt - it's
not in 3's policy to provide spare phones - even though it had now been
away 4 times for up to 3 days at a time. its also not the link's policy
to provide a spare phone either. i wasent leaving the shop withought
a phone - in the end she went and found one ( probably because i was
driving customers away) anyway i got my replacement handset - a different

I have this on a Three tariff which (provided you remember to reclaim
the rebate cheques) represents extremely good value for money compared
to other networks. (I get 500 cross network minutes and 100 texts -
for what works out at 12 quid a month over the year, vs the 30 quid
for 200 I used to pay O2 for) But I have a few gripes with the phone:
Major concerns: 1) The battery life - it is absolutely rubbish. It never
lasts more than about 1.5 days on standby. This is far and away the
most annoying thing about the phone - my old Sony T610 on O2 lasted
like 8 days on full charge/normal usage. I know 3G sucks batteries compared
to 2G - but couldn't they put a better battery in it then to neutralise
this! 2) Ruggedness. I basically keep all my phones in my pocket with
my keys and change. They normally get trashed after about a year. But
this one I have had 7 months and the charger port is already on the
blink. Phones really ought to stand up better to wear and tear. Although
to be fair it isn't as bad as the old Siemens one I had where all the
buttons fell off. 3) No keypad lock. Okay it is a clamshell phone so
the normal keys can't get knocked.. Except the side buttons can - I
get quite annoyed deleting photographs of the inside of my pocket that
it has decided to take. Minor concerns: 4) No bluetooth/IR. I knew this
when I bought it and they do supply a cable so not all bad. But still
a bit annoying - though I suppose the battery life is already terrible
without adding bluetooth! 5) The camera pic quality is a bit pants.
6) The addressbook has separate entries for home/mobile/work etc - rather
than showing 1 entry per person. I'm not keen on this approach. 7) It's
a bit big. Thanks for listening to me rant ;-) Andy

Owned = 6 months. I have to admit, this phone not having Infared OR
bluetooth, does make it a bad buy. Battery i dont think is that bad,
probably the same as any other motorola or new phones always about 2-3
days i'd say. Menu is not very easy to use, but when you get used to
it its ok. My recent probably are with the call line, for the past two
weeks the line goes fuzzy, not due to lack of signal just due to the
phone playing up it crackles for a while then sorts itself out the does
it again about 2 minutes later. Very fustrating and has resorted me
to only texting now. I still think its very stylish and have had more
problems with my network than the phone itself. I note that most of
everyones problems are with 3 - how amuzing, i have had endless problems
with this company, I was on a cash back plan, which by the way DONT
EVER GO FOR, i never recieved my money, after a long fight with an operator
i recieved one cheque and then gave up sending the rest off. unfortunatly

My phone started to have problems after 30 days (if it had been within
28 the shop would have just replaced it). The screen kept going black
and although I could make and receive calls I couldn't access my phone
book or texts because there was no display on the screen. My contract
is with 3 who have 'repaired' it twice and sent it back to me only for
the same fault to reoccur. The third time it was sent back they replaced
the handset but only with a refurbished phone. The phone I received
worked for a couple of hours but then exhibited a fault (which was different
from the first phone I had). The screen goes from colour to white with
black writing in the middle of calls and cuts me off. If I try to access
anything with a screen display such as phone book or messaging a timer
appears. Occassionally it does take me to the message menu but if I
press the select button the white and black screen comes on and the
phone reverts to the start screen. I phoned 3 customer service who have
offered to repair this phone for me and assure me they will replace
it (with another refurbished phone!) if the fault reoccurs. I have only
had my contract for 2 months and am getting nowhere. They obviously
are repairing the phones but if the fault recurrs and they eventually
replace your phone, someone else down the line gets your phone if theirs
fails and inherits the problems along with it. I have told them that
I am going to cancel but no reply so the phone is going back by registered
post on Monday and the direct debit being cancelled as they obviously
have not been able to provide me with the talk and text time that I
have purchased. This phone has been a nightmare - I noticed all the
other minor faults such as external buttons, battery life and non-functioning
alarm but would have put up with them if the phone at least worked!
If youu've got a V975 that works properly count yourself lucky!

i signed to a contract with 3 at the end of august '05 and ive had nothing
but problems with the phone since. It keeps dropping calls half way
through them, or it says call failed even though the reception is a
maximum, and sometimes it doesnt receive calls. It doesnt ring my end
and the caller is directed straight to my voicemail, which cos i cant
ring out i cant collect. I sent the phone for repair and it came back
but nothing had changed, with the help of The Link where i got the phone
through weve discovered the fault to be with the sim card. Today is
the 4th October '05 and ive spent most fo the day talking to 3 customer
services...which is laughable and they offer the customer no service
what so ever. They repeatedly told me the fault wasnt with the sim and
that the phone just needed reprogramming. Ive gone through exactly the
same 'reprogramming' with 4 different 'advisors' today and on 3 other
attempts they said i was lying, cut me off and said the computers werent
working, even though when i called straight back and talked to a colleague
their computer was working fine even thought theyre networked. In the
end The Link ( who have been wonderful by the way ) called the 3 customer
service while i was in the shop, first time they hung up on her, second
time they refused yet again to replace my sim card, and then said it
was my fault for using my phone during peak time!!!! she telling them
that they ought to try using the bloody phone and then slamming the
phone down. I have been to the bank this afternoon and cancelled my
Direct Debit, there is no way theyre getting another penny form me,
as far as im concerned they are in breach of contract for refusing to
provide a service i signed up for. I shall be visiting Citizens Advice
Bureau on Monday and id advise anyone with similar problems to do the
same. Perhaps this phone is as good as people say and all my problems
are with the '3' Network, so i gave it a 3 star rating based on the

I only have this phone, because it seemed the most reasonable that the
3 network were offering. I'm not intersted in video calling (or that
much in the multimedia options) but I do like getting 500 minutes a
month to next to nothing. I'm sure most people use 3 for this reason.
Having had an LG phone before, I can honestly say that this phone has
been more reliable during calls. The previous phone I had used to cut
off several times during a call. I have rarely experienced it with this
one I have read the other reviews on this page and I agree with two
points in particular: 1. the battery life is very poor. Two days standby
time seems to be it's upper limit; and 2. the buttons on the outside
of the camshell allow for the phone to regularly take pictures of the
inside of my pocket. To conclude, if you need a highly reliable phone
for business use this isn't going to work. If you need a phone for pleasure
and for a lot of free voice calls, which is fairly reliable, you can't
go too wrong with this. Just make sure you make a note of the dates
that your cashbacks are due. Apparently less than 16% of people actually
claim all of their money back. The 28 day clause catches out most. Don't
be stung!

I cannot belive I brought this phone. I know 3 other people who have
this phone and we are all having the same problems so I know it's not
just my phone playing up. a word of warning- I use my phone as an alarm
in the morning. Because of the terrible battery life, I have to charge
it over night. Make sure you don't set the alarm then connect it to
the charger otherwise your alarm WONT go off. If you set your alarm
then get a message, you have to go and disable the alarm then re-set
it or it won't go off!! Every action with this phone seems to reset
the alarm. you have to plug it into the charger, then set your alarm
then leave it alone and don't touch the phone at all or your alarm won't
go off. Everyone keeps saying the video quality is good????? What????
the quality is horrible, I tried having a video call and I could hardly
make out the person on the other end it was so pixilated!! Brought the
phone cause 3 raved about it so much in the store and how fantastic
it was and how good 3 coverage was in my area, yet how come it's always
on roaming??? When it is on 3 signal, I'll go to log onto 3 site on
the phone and it always drops out and switches to roaming. I have rang
3 about 10 times due to issues with the phone because the manual you
get with it is hopeless and doesn't explain a thing!! But everytime
I've called 3 I've been put thru to people who i can't even understand
their language, and they can't understand me!! it's stupid. 3 are NO
help. Anyone know how Myself and my three other V975 friend owners can

the tones are great and the mp3 idea is great, the video is fun too,
however my mp3 turns itself off after a minute or so of the phone being
shut while playing, which is very annoying so after 6 weeks its got
to go back to 3 to be repaired!! I too was fed up with the very low
battery life as it only lasts a day or so, so I invested £4 in a spare
battery from ebay, fabulous!! I also agree that there is not enough
space for mp3s, ok I know mine needs attention, but its looking as though
I will have to invest around £30 for a memory card to store more than
five tracks on it! that is if 3 find anything wrong with it, I would

Great potential, but poor user interface, and a few design flaws, leave
me wanting more! On paper this looks like a great phone (for the money).
But two or three flaws really hurt it in practical use. I bought a clam
shell so that I don't have to worry about locking the keys, shame Motorola
don't offer that option. Whatever you do, the volume (ring mode) buttons
and the camera buttons are active. So put it in your pocket, and the
camera is forever taking pictures of the inside of your pocket (with
the display turned on), waiting for you to confirm it, then finally
timing out and going back to sleep. Or worse still you put it in silent
mode, and it beeps when you try to change to mode, expecting you to
confirm it. Also I'm not sure if Motorola or Three are to blame, but
the OK, and back keys keep swapping places. So in one set of menus,
the right hand button is "Select", and left is "Back", you type in a
load of info, then all of a sudden the left one is "Send", and the right
one is "Cancel". pressing the right one loses the information you've
just entered. I'm sorry, but simple things like this shouldn't have
made it into a production phone!

I bought this phone at about 2 months. Its outstanding. Why? It's a
reasonable cheap mobile phone, it's 3G, has a mp3 player (although the
32 mb is short for listening music, you can buy the 256 mb transflash
card), the display is great, the O.S. does not hang or appears to be
non-responsive in any kind of situation. There's no Bluetooth or IrDa
but the package cames with the USB cable. The battery life is short
in 2.5G standards but in 3G mode is acceptable in this days. If you
don't mind (as myself) charging your mobile phone in a 2 day basis and
want to have a mp3 player and a 3G phone at a low price I doubt it if
there's a better phone than this. Cheers everyone and a big salut from

There's nothing specifically wrong with the phone as such, barring the
odd one that goes pop, but that happens with all makes/models. The camera
is pretty decent for a phone and the video calling works well. It has
a built in MP3 player and upgradeable memory which puts it above several
other phones in the same price range. The dual screens are also nice.
However, it is not without it's letdowns. The battery life is, for want
of a better word, laughable in a phone of this generation. It has no
Bluetooth, meaning you cannot use any wireless handsfree or car kits,
and some of the menu choices are badly thought out (such as ringtone
assignments for example). That said, it's by no means a bad phone, and
if you can live without wireless handsfree and being able to leave your
charger at home when you go away for a weekend, it's not a bad buy for
the price. To any of the "lovers" who defend this phone with teeth bared
when someone points out it's drawbacks, bear in mind that to some people
these drawbacks mean more than others. I personally like the phone,
but I can see why some people think it is lacking.

REPLY TO JAMIE Hi Jamie, Load up your software from the cd that should
have been included with your phone onto the computer. plug in your phone
to the computer using the usb cord. open up the phone software. Go to
Multimedia, then to Explore Phone. It will give you step by step instructions
on how to transfer songs etc to your phone. Basically a screen comes
up that lets you select a location on your computer where your mp3s
or pictures are saved, then you hit the 'send from computer to phone'
icon in the middle of the screen, this will transfer it to your phone.
Hope that helps Jamie. And your right, the manual is not very clear

I've had this phone for two weeks, and I must say, whilst most of the
features are fantstic, there are a couple of downsides that I do no
like about this phone. A) If you download a sound or mp3 and assign
it to a contact so that song plays when that person rings you. It will
also play that song when they send you a text message. You CANNOT assign
ringtones to people in your phonebook, then have the phone just do 1
beep for a text message. It will play the song for a call and text message.
the only way you can get the phone to just do a standard beep or sound
file for a text mesaage alert is to just have the standard boring ringtone
that comes already standard on the phone. This defeats the purpose of
being able to assign ringtones and sounds to different alerts!! B) In
your messages folder, you CANNOT create new folders, for example you
cannot create different message folders to put important messages in
and another folder for family messages etc. It ALL goes into the ONE
f older in the phone, so you have to flick thru all your messages to
find the one your looking for rather than being able to seperate them
like you can with most other phones, even older phones have the 'create
new folder' capability!! This is the same with your Videos, Pictures
and Sounds- They are all stored in the one folder for each item. If
anyone knows how to get around any of these issues, then I'd love to
know... I have contacted 'three' and they have told be I am right and
you CANNOT do any of the above on the phones- I found it dissapointing.

This phone is excellent, trust me on this. Before buying the Motorola
V975 I had an NEC e616 from the 'one stop phone shop' and although the
phone had an excellent interface, the amount of limitations imposed
on the phone by 3 were ludicrous, and to overcome them were complicated
to say the least and in some cases impossible (I could list them here,
but it would be better to refer you to an NEC e616 review and comments
on forums) since I would never stop writing. Motorola V975: good size
(advise you to buy a stubby aerial from ebay for only $2 to replace
big aerial). Weight is heavy but which 3G phones aren't. Screen is small
but very good screen resolution so pictures are sharp (NEC e616 has
a big screen and take it from me, do not choose a phone just because
is screen is bigger). No bluetooth/No infrared, again one of those limitations
imposed by 3 to restrict transfers of music and files from friends (don't
fret about this, you can come to some arrangement to have it downloaded
via USB from your computer). Java applications are of course not straight
forward to download since once again 3 imposes limitations in order
to use their browser. Trust me on this, there are many ways to overcome
this by just going to the web and obtaining the right info to overcome
these issue (type in smart moto into google, and you will learn that
it is an unofficial software used to tweak the Motorola and help you
access things you couldn't normally do without having to go to 3 browser
and waste money. Quality of MP3 is excellent but don't put too much
emphasis on this when buying a phone, buy an mp3 player and stop wasting
your phone's battery. Battery like most 3G phones do not last long,
probably the major drawback on this phone. You have a 2 screens on the
phone, a small one in the front and a bigger one inside, this is an
excellent aesthetic touch but probably one of the main reasons the battery
suffers so quickly. Interface is good, I have seen better but still
good enough, probably easier for ex-motorola owners to adapt to. Camera
and Video options are excellent but once again do not put too puch emphasis
on these things when buying a phone, buy a digital camera. In summary
the pros are: Size, looks, screen sharpness, good all round features
and most importantly easily tweaked by unofficial software. Cons: Heavy,
Battery, No bluetooth, No infrared, Not easy to download games and java
applications without paying for them (but again this can be overcome)
camera button is on the outside so can automatically swtich itself on
if phone is places in tight pockets (not big drawback, can unlock phone/or
individual features on phone). Best 3G phone bar the new Sony Ericsson
which in my opinion are the best phone makers for the last 5 years.

being spoilt by Nokia phones has removed your common sense. And yes
I have had about 6 different Nokia phones so know all about their features.
And Brandon who reviewed it on the 18th March - you deserve everything

Well it is a phone!!!! If people want a camera why don't they just go

I didn't expect this phone to have a 5 megapixel camera nor a top quality
video camera. What I got was a phone that I can talk to people and friends
with and also I can snap a little picture here and there and also up
to 30 seconds of video. The software it came with is very good and if
uploading pictures or video's to the the pc, well!!! the quality is
fine. It is dissapointing to see that the phone has no bluetooth of
infra red but with the data cable and the tools supplied it is a fine
piece of work. I think also that the phone could and should have been
supplied with a memory card and I think this is a bit of a rip off because
there aint much internal memory to mess about with. Using the supplied
stereo headset is fabtastic and the stereo is marvelous too. Overall
I would give this a 4 Star rating, had it have had bluetooth an/or infra
red then it would have got a 5 Star from me. One other point is being
on the 3 network I would have expected some problems, but I have had
no problems so far and I am very happy with the network. And one final
point: The phone itself looks and feels very robust and also looks really
smart.

want bluetooth choose an alternative handset, you can change the date
time format in the menu - no problem. Looks good, works well, so far
so good.

Quite an inferior phone I have to say. After years of Nokia I guess
one does get a little spoilt in terms of ease of use and functionality
but this V975 really is bad! As the others have said, it has no bluetooth
and I could not find infrared either. The screen appeared very very
average with a rather poor display quality. I also found that the date
display on the home screen appeared in the US format (mm/dd/yy).....I
mean get serious. Motorola surely didn't expect the rest of the world
to flip over and adapt the US date style overnight now did they? Also
the contacts menu appeared to have about 8 different categories but
when entering contact details, I could only select from 4 - Friends,
Family and Work were not available which sort of meant that almost 99%
of my contacts had to go in General or Personal. How bad is that? Needless
to say it went right back.

this phone has no bluetooth which is a big letdown, on top of that it
has only 2mb on onboard memory. fair enough you can expand using transflash
memory but a small size card is not even provided with the handset.
the camara is nice quality with 4x zoom and considering its on the '3'
network it can obtain a good signal quality thanks to its big aerial.
overall its a nice handset but letdown by the manufacturers.

No Bluetooth - need I go on? O.K then I will. It feels really nice to
touch and the operating system works fine, although the graphics are
chincy. The keys are georgeous and the video calling is brilliant. It's
a shame it has an ariel, would be lush with out it. Size not bad compared
to others in its class. It has an on board memory of 2mb's - yes that's
a whole two megabites - but do not fear you can use a t-flash card (whatever
that is) to expand your memory to a pathetic 256mbs. Why can't we just
have a phone with a gig of memory as standard - this is the year 2005
and memory is cheap as chips. Oh I remember why, because they are screwing
us that's why. No Bluetooth.
