LG U880 Review
Phone rating:
Review: December 2005.
The LG U880 is LG's thinnest, lightest 3G mobile to date. In fact it's
a lot thinner and lighter than many 2G phones! It's an attractive clamshell
phone with an internal aerial, and available in black, silver or pink.
The keypad is square with flat keys and is easy to use.
Despite it's compact size the U880 doesn't miss out on specifications.
Quite the reverse in fact - it's LG's highest spec phone yet. As well
as supporting the full range of 3G functions (video calling, media downloads,
fast internet access), it has a 1.3 megapixel camera (sadly without
a flash), a video recorder, and an MP3 player. The internal display
is large, bright and has 262k colours. We are also impressed by the
quality of the external display which is a bright TFT display (easy
to read outdoors) and with 65k colours. We are pleased also to see both
Bluetooth and USB connectivity (with a very useful USB charger) and
a memory card. Even the battery life is good for a 3G phone.
Can LG do no wrong with the U880? Not only have they developed a high
fashion 3G phone that is the thinnest yet launched, has an internal
aerial and comes in a range of colours including this season's hottest
- pink - but they have done it without compromising features or battery
life. If we have to be picky, then we would point out that the design
is not as inspired as the Motorola V3X,
but it's a very functional design and looks a lot better than the previous
generation of 3G clamshells. The camera, although 1.3 megapixels, doesn't
produce perfect results, and ringing volume could be a bit louder. However,
these are minor complaints and the U880 is a superb 3G mobile! The U880
has now been replaced by the U890.
Features of the LG U880 include:
- 3G video calling
- 1.3 megapixel camera
- Video camera
- Windows Media Player for playback of MP3 audio and MPEG4 video
- Internal display: TFT, 262,000 colours, 176 x 220 pixels
- External display: TFT, 65,000 colours, 96 x 96 pixels
- Messaging: SMS, EMS, MMS, Email
- Speakerphone
- 64-voice polyphonic ringtones
- Java games
- Memory: 80 Mbytes with TransFlash memory card
- Connectivity: Bluetooth, USB
- WAP 2.0
- Triband plus UMTS (3G)
- USB charger
- Size: 99 x 49 x 18 mm
- Weight: 100g
- Talktime: 222 minutes
- Video calling: 144 minutes
- Battery standby: 236 hours

To be honest this phones is well lacking. I don't know where LG are
coming from. This phone has clearly come from the past.. 1.3 Mege Pixel
lens with No flash,(what is the point in that) image is very blurred.
Have you tried? txtin while the phone is charging! not very impressive
looking then is it!? The reception cuts out all the time, does not work
at all in some place's. My Nokia which is also on 3g network has no
problem. The software is totally rubbish. This phone could only be a
phenomenon if you lived in the stone ages. About the only thing good
on this is the Mp3 player, which i don't use, cos i have one Mp3 player
that works fine, don't need my phone to take over a job its only half
good at.. Also just wait until the covers for the hands free kits and
charger sockets brake off.. A phenomenally rubbish phone don't have
it...

I got this phone about a week ago and i absolutely love it! functions
are great, eye catching design, by far the prettiest LG phones yet.
it has some downside : weak signal, and short battery life. but other
than that it's fantabulous. 85 MB internal memory is sufficient for
normal users but if you so require extra memory the phone is compatible
with transflash memory stick. bluetooth function is great, audio output
is crisp and strong, pretty customizable, and big comfortable keypad.
not the best phone out there in terms of functionality but the eye catching
design definately compensate the downsides. my boyfriend didnt like
LG phones, but after he saw this phone he was like "um i guess this
phone is not that bad" haha XD

I've recently brought this phone, and to be quite honest, it has shocked
me. MP3 player......USB connectable, charges via USB, as soon as i got
it, I downloaded around 20 songs to it,and about 15 pictures, and i
have set them to my wallpapers and my ringtones. It's an amazing piece
of kit. You can make your own playlists...to save you skipping through
every track to find the 1 you want, it's just something else, the camera
quality is astounding, and the buttons have a lovely feel to them. It
cannot be bettered!!!! Agreed, the manuals rubbish, but I thought this
was the golden rule for any human being to suffer......naffy manuals.
The really annoying thing about reading the reviews posted by other
people, are the people who say "The ringtones aren't loud enough, or
there isn't a big enough selection to choose from. Well, this is simply
not true, the phone is ridiculously loud, and whilst on my desk vibrating,
it certainly does the trick of telling me there's an incoming call.
The whole, "no ringtones to choose" really is a petty argument, there
are plenty of ringtones anyway, but if you're not happy with the ones
u've got, download your favorite song onto your phone via USB, and set
it as your ringtone...simple.

Neat and stylish to say the least, and it does what it's supposed to
do very well indeed. A very clean-cut phone with great screens and a
very easy to use keypad, even for pudding fingered people like myself.
It's nice to have a phone on which I can listen to my wma format music
files - In outstanding stereo - Thanks to the twin speakers. The hands
free/headphone delivers great sound too! The phone has sufficient volume
to get my attention when ringing, despite the lack of external speakers.
I would like to give the phone 5 stars, but I feel that the navigation
could be much better. There are some preferences missing that I have
taken for granted on my previous Motorola and Nokia phones, hence the
four stars. All in all a great phone, presently limited to the 3 network
until the unlock codes become available.

I've just sat down and read all the reviews for this phone and I think
maybe it's only me that has a problem with it. I got it last week as
an upgrade on my 3 account (and I think 3 are great been with them for
ages now and have no complaints)and today I sent it back. I've been
using an LG U8130 for over a year and apart from being a bit clunky
its ok, very user friendly, the cameras a bit rubbish but I dont use
it anyway. So why, when they must have put a lot of thought into upgrading
the LG line have they downgraded the features. The most irritating thing
is in messaging, because of the huge internal memory it can now store
zillions of messages but and its a big BUT you can only delete them
one by one, there is no facility to delete all or multiple delete, how
mad is that? Then there is all the obvious stuff that has been covered
in other mail eg: having to go through the entire T9-Abc repertoire
to get to a capital letter very irritating, no zoom, no flash, screen
powers down so you cant glance at it to see if you've got a new text
or to tell the time, very few ringtones, no animated emoticons. And
regardless what the other writer said, I cant get the pc-sync software
to work either and belive me I'm no slouch when it comes to computers.
So I cant say its a bad phone just not as good functionally as the earlier
LGs. Ps I did think it was an incredibly sexy phone and yes I'm so girly
I got it in pink. Pps.Three were so helpful that they've booked me one
of the first LG U890's being released on Tuesday so I will have one
of the first in the country with all of its new upgraded features and
I'm not being charged a penny and its PINK!

amazing. The only bad point is the battery life which lasts around 1
and a half days, but other than that it is an amazing phone. I have
the black version and i think its cool. I like the way u can use the
camera when it is closed! Also playing music with the front screen!
The Bluetooth is good! I like the slim design, hehe! The camera quality
is good, very good in bright areas, it does lack the flash light but
who cares! I have lots of videos, music and images on my phone and i
still have just under half the memory left! For my birthday i hope to
get a transflash card so i can store more songs! The signal is good
and rarely drops! I made a good choice in getting this phone!

This phone is absolutely top-notch. I have read other people's complaints
about it, and most of what they have said is simply not true. The MP3
playback is superb, the angle of the screen is excellent, especially
for making calls. My only small gripe is that the SMS entry can be annoying
when you want to insert a capital letter mid sentence (Have to press
the dictionary 5 (yes, 5!) times. You get used to this quickly though,
and its a very small price to pay for a magnificent phone. I will concede
that the lack of a flash/light is a weakness, as the pictures come out
very dark even in only moderately dark conditions. Saying that, in full
daylight, its an excellent camera. The interface is very intuitive,
and the keypad is very responsive and and the buttons don't need to
be pressed four feet into the handset to register (My big complaint
with some phones). Battery life is absolutely unbelievable for a 3g
phone: I charge it every 3-4 days, even with heavy use. In terms of
its styling, I don't think there is any better 3g phone around (and
not many 2g's either). It is slim, and has an internal aerial. In wipes
the floor with its main competitor, namely the V3x, as its functionality,
battery life, and two beutifully crisp and bright screens are a delight.
The keypad is a real boon, especially against the V3x, the keypad of
which looks a mess, and is too 'clicky' and just feels cheap. Overall,
anyone looking for a 3g handset - look no further. This is simply awesome.

Got mine a few days ago. I don't demand much from a phone being a wrinkly,
so I belong to the KISS school of thought ( Keep It Simple, Stupid...).
I'm happy to live with the 3G bells and whistles, if the rest is simple
to do, but the manual is atrocious. I'll even download a decent ringtone,
but it is not very loud. Anyone know a site that does LOUD ringtones,
to compensate?! there are too many irritations in this phone, tho it
works well otherwise. Getting to caps when texting is a pain-- the LG
8120 did this in one click-- why change it? Editing profiles is lokewise
laborious. Does anyone know how to set up a contact group and allocate
a different ringtone? I've played with it for ages and failed. Again--
a cinch on the old LG. if so, please email me froggin100@hotmail.com

soft ware is a doddle to use. It has ample memory and great features.
The only bad points are that the mp3 player isn't the best sound quality

I only got the phone a couple of days ago, so I haven't made that many
calls/texts/etc. Haven't figured out everything it can do yet. The greatest
problem with the phone is not the phone itself but the manual. So, you
may think the phone is pathetic, useless dung - but that's only because
the book only tells you WHAT you CAN do, but rarely anything about HOW
TO DO it. The book is a total waste of time. Anyone would get frustrated
with a phone that can't be figured out. On my upgrade contract it said
I got a travel charger... if that means for the car, well, I didn't
get it. There is a really stupid way of changing the tones, it is completely
NOT obvious. Connecting to the PC is easy enough. All the software should
be installed at once rather than in 3 separate categories tho. I'd have
liked to see some nicer pictures included which are able to be set as
the background. Really disappointed in the "emoticons", they still are
:-) which is stupid. I would have assumed all phones these days had
proper smileys. The sound is quite clear, the angle of the screen-keypad
is perfect, camera is good. Many very simple and easy to access menus
and functions. Figured out everything so far much quicker than with
my last phone, a Nokia 6225. I'm not sure what a good load time would
be considered to be, but I'm connected to the 3G internet/browser in
less then 5 seconds. btw... speakerphone can be activated by pressing
and holding the C button during your call. There's a picture of an amplifier
on it for a reason. Wait til you see a similar icon on your screen to
know it has been acitvated. Ringtones can be changed by going into Profiles,
selecting a theme (eg. Normal) and pressing Edit (right button). To
hear all the available stored files go into the My Stuff folder in the
main menu. All your songs, pictures and the defualt of the same are
in there. But the phone is definitely lacking when used with light shining
directly on the screen. You'll have to turn so the phone is in your
shadow to see anything. And the inability to take photos in places with
poor lighting is also a drawback. Won't be able to use it at the Il
Divo concert it a week then. Damn. At least I have a normal digital
camera.

Ok i would like to clear a few things up. The phone is simply sexy,
a lot of people get this phone for the looks and it is stunning. Now
as for some more information on the phone itself... The camera can be
rotated with is great as you can take normal snaps of mates or a self
portrait. As for the angle of the phone its perfect for calling and
for people who say its bad for texts.. its almost the same angle as
other flip phones if you cannot see the screen (do not take this personally)
but you may need an eye test - its perfect in every way. The keys are
nice and big for the size so if you have sausage fingers its no problem.
The phone has a call button with (what i love) a separate video call
button so if you get up and want to pull a sicky but donut want your
boss to see theres no more... Is this a voice or video call? And start
shaking about, if it is or not a video call - you know your safe with
this phone! Its packed with features for the size such as: video and
photo 1.3 megapixel camera, bluetooth, internal antenna, dual screen,
games, apps, mp3 player, "video player", calendar, organizer and much,
much more. on the left side you have the headphone socket and up and
down arrow key (for volume) and on the right the card slot (uses transflash
with 1GB now available for around £50) and the quick access camera button
(quick for video and long press for picture if i remember right). In
the box as default (no specials extras if you purchase from bobs place
etc..) is a quick start 3 guide, Manual, Wall Charger, Phone & Battery
(well ya...) and with what i love - the USB cable for transferring files
and sync etc.. the cable charges the battery while you use it! The menus
are stylish (like the Mac OS operating system style). The keys are back
lit in blue and are not too bright or dull its perfect for the night.
Now bluetooth some of the people say it drops etc.. thats INCORRECT!
I think its the users PC not the phone as i have used a Nokia 660 and
two Samsung D500s PLUS the u880 and its all perfect and top bluetooth
speeds. It may take a while to setup depending on the bluetooth on your
PC but on mine i turn bluetooth on - on the phone, search from PC select,
set a pass key and away I go! Also "currupting" software does not happen
to me i feel it is again the users pc or sims card. Everything is perfect.
I cannot put in words how much you get with the phone for the price.
Truly smashing phone and very sexy - kinda of a babe magnet. If there
was one fault its Games.. Plenty of apps for the phone but with it been
a real new phone GameLoft and other game makers do not yet list the
phone on their web sites but games are online for purchase from some
places (google LG U880 GAMES). I have had the phone a small while (not
long at all to be honest ;)) and I am happy but don't take my work for
it see the reviews below mine and see just how many out of all say Good,
Outstanding or Excellent! Way to go LG cracking 3G phone (currently
the smallest flip phone thats 3G enabled). The phone is .2mm thinner
then the V3x of which people are moving to THIS phone from. Hope you
enjoy my long but detailed review :)

i have had this phone for about 3 days now and all i have to say is
that its the best phone i have ever had!!, I just got it after getting
rid of my Motorola V3x and it is way better, the V3x could never keep
a 3g signal where as the LG has never lost it since swithch on, also
the mp3 ringtones and videos play much louder than on the V3X, i have
it in silver with the extended battery included and i have yet to lose
half of the battery power after 3 days, and thats with heavy 3g usage
, where as the V3X had to be charged every 1 - 1 half days, now thats
bad, so to summerise, enyone moaning about the LG simply has nothing
better to do with there time, The LG is a BRILLIANT phone

Almost perfect except for two small points (as I see them). The 1st
being the battery life not as good as promised (much better the past
two 3g phones but still not that good when comparing with 2.5g phones)
and the 2nd being that (unbeknown to me when I decided to purchase the
phone) it doesn’t support voice tags so no voice dialling - this
is a pain when using a handsfree unit in the car and had I known this
I may not have opted for the LG over the V3X (past two phones being
Motorola’s). I for one just assumed such an advanced phone would
support voice tags and it was a real surprise when (after checking with
3 customer services that this was the case) to me (that’ll teach
me – lesson learnt). Another small quirk I have found is with
the supplied computer software, this being that to get the LG U880 and
the computer (both of them – yes I have two) connect one has to
turn off the phone then turn on again to get the com ports to work –
as yet not software updates – that I can find – have been
released. The above said this is a super phone and the battery life
is still pretty good compared to previous 3g phones and would recommend
it to anyone. Having been with 3 since they started in the UK the improvement
in both handsets and reception is phenomenal and one wonders where it’s
going next – no point in the phones getting smaller – not
for me in any case as 1) I have normal fingers and 2) the screen needs
to be of a decent size to take advantage of the 3 services and video
calling.

they are small and close together, and i dont like how it comes with
a minidisk, im too scared to stick it into our imac cause im scared
it will get stuck. So unfortunately that means i cant really do much

I've had this phone for a few days now and am happy with it, although
I don't think it's all it's cracked up to be. The camera is pretty good,
mp3 player is good for what it is, and its size is great. The bad: I'm
not one to usually read instructions, but I've needed the instructions
a few times in the last few days, and unfortunately, the user manual
isn't very comprehensive or helpful. One thing I really want to do is
to personalise message tones for particular contacts. I know it can
be done with ring tones, but I cannot find how to do it for a message
tone. The manual doesn't even touch on personalising tones. (Btw, if
anyone knows how to, please email me: bek.leys@gmail.com) The downside
to the mp3 player is that is has very basic functions. As for the software...
dodgy and temporamental. File transfer rate between pc and phone isn't
all that crash hot either. It has cemented my belief that Nokias are
the best phones in the world. Overall, despite it's problems, it's a
good phone with lots of functions packed into a nicely-sized piece of
funky plastic.

This goes out to all the LG Haters. first of all let me say Symbian
OS phones are the best and are the way forward! but thats my view! you
can do what eva you want with them as long as you have the correct software.
the problem with them is keeping up with technology every 6 month a
new symbian comes out! and the cost is extreamly high.. cant wait for
the full Nokia N ranges! Now LG, a cheap company, some say laging behind
the big boys! and i agree! however like other sector of technology LG
is catching up (leading in some area; most tv's use lg tube). so here
it is LG in not revolutionary in the Mobile sector, its evolutionary!
and teh U880 is an fine example! it have been worked on, refined, tuned
and put on a diet! this is a solid PHONE(not a multi media player) altho
it has good mp3 capabilites (if you use symbian you have the flexibility
to use ogg vorbis and otehr format) and a good camera; shame theres
no flash. so what about the cost? i got it for free with a new contract;
infact with cash back and stuff the whole contract is free (hard to
belive). i got 400 min free.. i would have never got that deal with
a nokia phone. and do you know what ? i'm not even ashamed of it! to
put a long story short this is a good phone, it has good design, technologically
well equiped and you get a lot of bang for your buc! Well done LG!

it. It's menus are easy to use, the sound quality of the MP3 player
is good, the camera is OK (after all, it IS a phone, not a camera),
and using it as a modem on my laptop is a doddle. The only issue I have
with it is that the browser doesn't like "large" webpages - can't get

The LG U880 is a very smart sophisticated phone. I realised sometime
ago that I wanted a phone that behaved more like a phone than a smart
phone such as the Nokia Symbian phones. This is one such phone. The
build quality is solid and sleek. Picture quality is pocket-tv quality,
as MP4 players need to be. It can be used as an MP3 player, when someone
calls you you can let the call cut into the music and out. You can't
do that with an ipod! The outer screen is as good as my Panasonic picture-phone
screen of 2 years ago, plus it can display full video too. Only bad
point I can see is the camera is not suited to darkness, when making
a video call to a Nokia, its lens coped better in a dark room. Save
from that, this phone is top-grade, excellent.

Dead easy to load with MP3's just drag and drop using the phone manager

Can manage all files from the PC. Supplied with nice set of headphones.
I have had no problems with battery power at all and charge about every
2-3 days. Looks nice, can put additional words into text library. I
have had occasional problems with poor reception indoors. Really easy
to use. Only complaint is it is a bit long-winded to select a capital

rubbish. The manual is the worst that I have ever come across - it doesn't
make clear how to do basic functions like change the ring tone. Battery
life is poor - it totally depletes after 1 hour of talking. The reception
intermittently cuts out. I have absolutley no idea how to download MP3s
on to the phone because the manual doesn't tell me how to do it. The
software is totally pointless and is just taking up space on my PC.
I have only had it a month and I have had to send it back to my network

it is anything special. i think all that hype over it was for nothing.
first of all, the camera is rubbish, compared to the other types of
cameras that are being provided in the most recent Nokia and Sony models.
second of all, when i text or call from this phone, it really does give
my thumb, hands and arm an ache, i dont know if that is due the the
shape of the handset or because of the buttons, or a combination of
both!! the battery life is also pretty bad. after i make a call for
about 1 hour, the battery is almost empty, i mean how lame is that!
sure it looks quite good, because it is pink, and i think that it is
the pink colour that attracted me to it the most, but overall this phone
is a disappointment. LG are nowhere near the likes of Nokia or Sony

This phone is great very easy to use. I am not a big phone nut and have
generally used outdated Nokias. I was a bit worried the menus/text inputing
would take some getting used to after Nokia but that hasn't been the
case, it's dead easy and an improvement. Very good battery life. Couple
of gripes I have is that the PC software seems very flakey. It connects
ok initially but if you unplug it it seems to not be able to reconnect
without a phone or computer reboot. There is mention of this in the
manual. Not a big deal just make sure you do all your transferring before
disconnecting. The other gripe is that I use my mobile as clock/watch
and am used to looking at a screen and seeing the time immediately (no
flip/clamshell). ON this phone the external screen switches off and
I have to open/close the phone for it to light up and show the time.
But this might be typical for all these types of phones?? Also with
2Mpx cameras out now 1.3 is falling behind, plus the optics quality
is not up with Nokia. But I have a digi cam and bought this as a phone
so this doesn't worry me. Overall strongly I recommended, good value.

I had to send the following message to '3'. Model – LG U880 Having
recently purchased this phone through your recent sales offer. I am
extremely concerned and disatissfied at both the performance of the
actual phone and the software desktop that comes with it. The problems
I have had are as follows: 1 Unable to connect to Planet 3, 90% of the
time. 2 Failed to recieve Madonna's new album free of charge as was
agreed at purchace and advertised through your advertising. 3 Regular
failure/corruption of LG desktop software, that's lead to loss of much
input data. Plus software seems to only work whilst inputting new contacts
for about 5 new inputs, it then corrupts giving the error message 'June'.
At this point you have to shut down and restart software. 4 Completely
unable to change ringtone. My partner has the same phone (& the same
probs listed as 2, 3 & 5), and has followed the steps from his handset,
yet to no avail. Ringtone simply refuses to change. 5 Recieved cheap
and nasty headphone's completely unlike those stipulated in your advertising
and literature. 6 Apparently I may have been charged twice for the ONLY
game i've managed to download so far. In isolation one or two of the
above may be excusable (and hopefully solvable), yet together they present
formidable pattern of at best inexcusable incompetance. I will be saving
all correspondence, in view to sharing it with swedish trading standards
and the various 'your verdict' forums and websites. Let's hope they
sort this out!

I am writing this as a feedback to some previous comments in this forum:
1. I found no problem in transferring my own MP3 or java games onto
this phone; those MP3 and games can simply be transferred via bluetooth
or Micro SD card without any problem at all. Perhaps some service provider
in other countries have prohibited transferring MP3 or games onto the
phone; but in Hong Kong, this is definitely not the case. 2. The memory
card that this phone used is call Micro SD card. Just buy an SD adapter
(Usually it comes with the card when you buy it. In fact, 3 (Orange)
gave me the card with an SD adapter for free when I bought this phone)
and it can be easily fit into many card readers. Have been using this
phone for almost 3 weeks and it is fantastic. The price of the phone
is very attractive when it goes with the plan in Hong Kong (only around
US$250); this is really a lot cheaper than many others 3G phones available.
The phone is slim, and display is quite nice (already better than a
lot of Nokia phones). With the free 256M Micro SD card that I've got,
it can simply be used as my second MP3 player, and I used it to play
my favourite java games when travelling. Battery consumption is quite
impressive as well; I've been using it as my MP3 player and play games,
but it only needs to be recharged for around 2-3 days. However, when
playing MP3 the sound quality is not as desirable; not sure if it is
because of the phone itself or the headset, will grap another headset
to check once it is available. Another points are that MP3 ringtone
is not that loud, and the picture quality of the phone camera is really
not that good. But other than these, with such a price, I think this
phone really worth it.

I reckon on the whole, LG U880 is good, but there are a lot of things
they could improve. For instance, I was doped into buying this phone,
on the belief that I can insert my own custom songs into the phone,
and listen to them at will. WRONG! The only songs I am allowed to listen
to are ones that I have to download from the phone, and boy, are they
expensive! What a rip-off. I also have to download my own games and
what not...so that was very annoying. Another thing is with my phone,
I got some kind of a music deal...and an extra added on memory card
so could store more photos or whatever. Again, it was such a rip-off,
because the memory card is SO tiny, that there is no USB/Memory Card
Slot small enough to accomodate it. I bought this phone in belief that
I could have a camera, personal Mp3 player and a mobile phone all conveniently
packed together. But now...this has just become another ordinary phone
for me...and I am sorry to say, it is unlikely that I'll ever be buying
LG products again.

i've owned LG before with no complaints. I love the MP3 player but i
think Lg need to make either a transmitter(to send music to any stereo)
or external speakers, i like to listen to music out loud, but it doesn't
sound good on speakerphone so i use my headset as it sounds better.
An all round good phone, i love it! big thumbs up.

Wow, wow and wow!!! This phone is phenominally good. Works well on all
levels as far as i'm concerned and it looks fantastic. Some people have
been moaning about some of the features but i don't see it personally.
If you're used to Nokia's then u may not like it, same goes for anyone
who sticks to a brand -nothing else will ever be good enough. I'm the
same except i always go for top spec LG, i've never had anything but
praise for every model that i've owned. Just to anyone who thinks the
flip has too much play in it when opened - its not a fault, its designed
that way so that if it gets stood or sat upon it will give freely instead
of snapping off!!! What a gr8 idea, saves hefty repair bills should
the worst happen eh?! Love the phone, love the network, love the service.
I wish everyone could be as happy as i am with 3 and LG.

Mostly a very nice phone with great features :-) Not perfect: - Far
to many hatches on all connectors. You almost need a screwdriver to
attach the charger or a headset. - The hatches feels like they will
fall off when open. - The media player cannot run in the background
when you are writing for instance an sms. The media player even stops
when you close the phone...

Quality, what more can i say, probably the best fone iv ever owned,
i recieved it on contract this morning, it looks gr8, feels gr8, the
installation for the LG PC suite was simple. Hopefully LG can continue
to produce phones like this in the future...buy this fone now.

Absolute fantastic phone. With me working for a leading mobile phone
retailer I have a lot of the new phones that are released, and the LG
U880 is the one that comes out on top! Good battery life, amazing screen
with a decent camara. A good alround phone, I choose it over the nokia
6680 and N70.

This phone is fantastic, bluetooth works well, looks great and browser
is super quick. My only quirp is the speaker volume, its far too quiet!!!
If the phone is in my pocket and I'm in a shopping mall or something
its almost impossible to hear. Also listening to mp3's with the flip
closed the sound from the speaker is very quiet. The u8360 had speaker
holes on inside and outside of phone and is louder than this one, I
wish the U880 did the same. Other than that the phone is fantastic,
slim and sexy.

This is truely the best phone I have ever had! Everything you want in
a phone and more! Fits so nicely in your pocket, much better than previous
LG 3G phones...but my only problem, which i actually find important,
is the loudness of the ring! It doesn't have holes on the outside of
the phone and therefore the ringing isn't as loud as required! When
the phone is opened very slightly, it's loud, but very when shut!
