its an ok phone, i got this only 3 months before android really came
big so it is obviously nowhere near as good but it has suited its purpose,
if u want a phone for what it is meant to do, phone and text, its great
and the audio is ok. I bought an Sd card for it and it works fine with
it so not the best phone in the world but far from the worst.

I bought LG GT505 2 years ago because the price was low and it seemed
to me that it was a good opportunity. BUT I WAS WRONG!!!!!!! The phone
is extremely slow, the battery does not attach well so the phone turns
off every time I move it. I fixxed that problem by placing a little
piece of paper in the gap between the battery and the slot... After
that a bigger problem occured... The interanl memory is full.I have
no idea why this thing has happened, since I have never saved a damn
thing in the phone memory, but still the memory is full and I can't
erase it...I cannot play any games, many messages are not even delivered
because of thos stupid phone, it even mixxes my messages and send something
different... Oh and I shouldn't forget to mention that the buttons have
stopped working sing a long time... This phone is a horrible choice...
You should buy something more reliable and plz don't be influenced by
the low price...

Had this phone for a year now - once I got used to it - it has been
brilliant. Fantastic camera. Tough as it can be. (Buy a silicon cover).
has been dropped, splashed kicked and it still works. No battery problems
at all. To those that do have them can i suggest you simply put it on
charge every night. It does not get a battery memory but works fine.
i use mine for business and private use all day every day without break

The phone is one of the worst phones I have ever paid for. Alright,
you pay for what you get. It's cheap and look like it offered enough
features like most mobiles that where in more expensive. But if a manufacturer
settles on that then shame on them. You design something to work flawless!!!
I have encountered the phone having trouble with the suite, the wifi,
the camera oddly delays, reproduction of video most often can't support
the format, the screen has frozen on me 4 times. I had suspected the
battery also because it ran out quickly and the phone was so hot I thought
it would explode. I am very frustrated with the product.

generally I'm very happy with the phone and didn't encounter any problems
with it. it's cheap, it's beautiful and working great (I mean the basic
stuff. I'm not using a lot of features). I just want to warn about something.
the camera is generally good and advanced for a phone this cheap, but
it has 2 annoyances: 1. after pressing the shutter key the camera takes
about 1 second until the picture is actually taken. so the subject has
to stand real still in the same position. this is not a camera for more
spontaneous shots. 2. you have to hold the camera very still so that
shots will not get blurry. when you follow these rules shots can be
quite impressive

great. But then the battery kept running out, had to charge it twice
a day also the phone was very hot. Orange then sent me another battery
and it was the same still running out quickly. so i had to send my phone
to them and they replaced it with another one. i was really annoyed
as this one had scratches on it and a few contacts already in the phonebook,
so wasnt new. i complained and they sent me a new phone. the new phone
worked for a while but now starting to have problems. the phone is getting
very hot on the back. not very good signal and the screen froze and

with 48 hours of getting my upgrade. From day one the WIFI hasn't worked
properly. a few months down the line the phone began to have serious
signal issues. (calls and messages not going through: in or out). Shortcut
menu has recently stopped working. handset will not let me save or delete
images, videos etc. handset internal memory constantly being displayed
as full (even though it was completely empty) meaning that i could not
send or receive emails, recieve bluetooth file, etc. Would seriously
recommend avoiding the gt505 at all costs. Not worth the aggravation
of owning one.

I have recently had this phone as an Orange upgrade because I liked
the idea of the UMA technology (automatic call routing via a domestic
broadband hub when cell recption is poor). Essentially, the service
is not robust or reliable. Couple this to a five hour standby battery
life on UMA and it simply isn't fit for purpose. As mentioned in previous
reviews Orange UMA also stops you using standard Wi-Fi for data access.
If you are buying this phone locked to Orange you are wasting your time.
The basic phone is decent, and in its standard non-Orange form is probably
OK

All the apps cost £5 or more. GPS costs a lot. I keep making accidental
calls. Poor 3g. Not very good battery life. I take it off charge for
a day and don't use it at all and it'll be out of battery... And its
not the best touch screen. But saying that, the screen responds well
when tapped. Easy to unlock - a little too easy. Quick navigation. Easyish
to use. Good camera. Alright call quality. So, if you have a lot of
money to spend on apps and GPS, or want an over priced device to make
calls and texts, then go ahead and buy this phone. Personally I'm looking
for a new phone.

no signal, bluetooth trouble and no internet connection. Orange have

trying to wrangle some sort of free mobile internet from your provider.i

I am currently awaiting a courier to bring me my second replacement
of this model since my supposed "upgrade" from Orange. The first few
weeks proved very impressive indeed until the phone completely stopped.
Not a hint of warning, just stopped. I contacted my supplier who advised
me that there was a fault with the handset. Thank you, I already knew
that!!! I had an exchange about 4 weeks ago and the same thing has happened
again. The phone just stopped without warning. Orange tell me I cannot
change it although it fails in its most basic function. Other than that,
a great phone when it is not just stopping. I am self employed and cannot
run the risk that the thing will not go faulty. Interesting facts of
the way we live today:- LG made a faulty item. Orange have recommended
it to me (and replaced it twice in 4 months). Obviously it is my fault
for Chosing to accep it in the first place. What a wonderful world it

This was my first LG phone and I was a bit hesitant having disliked
my girlfriends secret in the past. This handset was suggested to me
by an Orange assistant as a free alternative to the Samsung Jet (which
I would have had to pay for on an upgrade) and I have to say that although
I don't have any major gripes with the phone or it's features it doesn't
particularly inspire. I have to disagree with Matthew's comments about
the phone not remembering the last text input for messaging, and when
unlocking I always use the touch screen to unlock which is fine. Probably
the biggest disappointment is with the styling of the screens. The options
are very functional but with only 2 themes (black or white) and the
inability to customise the menus (as you can with basic Nokias) the
phone is a bit rigid and boring. There is no option to view contacts
in a list and view contact photos which I've had with my last 2 phones
and the whole uniformity which may not bother many does frustrate me.
As mentioned by Matthew the internet is very quick but to zoom in explorer
sessions is nowhere near as seamless and easy as on an iphone. Whilst
I will be sticking with my GT505, I would advise those looking for a
more fun, interactive phone to get a tocco

I chose this phone for my upgrade because I have owned a viewty in the
past and thought with them both being LG touch screens I could expect
the same (or maybe a few minor improvements), but unfortunately I was
wrong. Many small problems with the phone amount to it really being
quite frustrating. Here’s just a few: The “hold key”
on the side now needs to be held for roughly five seconds to unlock
the handset; when creating a new message, the phone doesn’t remember
that your previous text was sent using predictive text (you must turn
it on every time – although it does seem to remember it in the
last place I’d want it to, the phone book); you cannot change
the name of the preset profiles; the ‘c’ button on the viewty
has been changed to a completely pointless menu button, and the c is
now in an awkward place on the touch screen keypad. There really aren’t
any major problems with the phone, and the internet is quick, but I’ve
found my signal strength to be poorer than the viewty (and I don’t
always receive texts until I unlock the touch screen - very annoying!).
I cannot give it an average rating when it gets so many small things
you take for granted, wrong. It will be getting returned.
