Every time I try to text and add a contact it says 'Maximum applications
reached'. This problem happens at least 3 times a day. So then I turn
it off and back on again, then it decides not to recognise the sim card
saying there is no sim card in it. I sometimes have had to turn it off
and back on again about 9 times once to get it to finally work. It's
so slow loading anything and freezes too often. Considering I only got
it a few months ago, I'm really annoyed as I'm now going to have to
buy a new phone as this is so unreliable. The worst phone I've ever
used!

Not good. Yet not bad. for total practical means not half as good as
more expensive lg products. Not very much space for music or pictures
all round practical phone for phoning and text messaging. Had this phone
on contract for a year for the time fitting now moved on to a better
phone and passed onto my daughter

I have had this phone for the length of my 18 month contract, since
September 2009. I have no major problems with the running of the phone,
but about 10 months through my contract the internal memory function
broke, and i couldn't save or reach any of the items on it. LG or T-Mobile
wouldnt take it back to repair as they said it wasnt a major problem.
Also, my touch screen has messed up and now 1/2 of my screen is just
black with multicoloured lines running down it. I have had the 'maximum
limit of applications reached' but I didn't really care as i just switched
it off and on, on the whole this phone is absoloutely rubbish, and steer
clear of any LG phones under £200

Love the features on the phone, but I too get the freezing problem and
"maximum limit of applications reached" message and have to take battery
out and reboot. T-mobile sent it off for repair and then exchanged the
handset -Ive had it 18 months now and it's still doing it - one a fortnight
or so. Clearly a consistent problem after reading the below comments
- wouldnt touch the phone and lost confidence in LG...shame as I loved
the Viewty.

I have had this phone on a t-mobile contract for many months now but
I would not recommend it, apart from the contract deal, nothing is good
about this phone. The camera is too slow and so you quite often get
shaky, blurry pictures, there are no apps available for the phone apart
from the odd one or two, there are very, VERY few products for the phone
such as cases... it is like LG made this phone and then just forgot
about all the accessories! I quite often get a message saying maximum
limits of applications reached and each time it does this I have to
restart the phone and it also has a very low battery life compared to
my old sony ericsson phone so overall, if you buy this phone I expect
you will be deeply disappointed with the product you buy, I hope this
helps and I too have never had such an awful phone!

I have had this phone as an upgrade from Tmobile since August 2009 and
I would not recommend it. The touchscreen has gone twice in March and
earlier this month and Tmobile repaired it, complete new screen each
time....I have to wait for it to go wrong 4 months before they will
let me choose another phone!! The screen and case was changed each time
and I am wondering when it will go wrong again. The second time it went
wrong Tmobile had stopped giving replacement phones as they are an accessory
to the contract. As for the maximum applications reached, I get it every
few days and I have to turn off the phone and turn it on for it to work
again. I change my phone every 18 months and I have never had such a
bad phone before.

occasionally freezes and says maximum applications reached but it does
have an amazing camera and it has wifi. it all just depends on what
you want in a phone.

I have this mobile phone for five days and I use it in Poland. At this
moment I must say that it is better device that I suspected. Touchable
screen and menu are very comfortable and easy to use. You can write
messages very easily as well. The main important thing is that GT500
is fully equipped: wifi, gps, edge, radio, music player which is easy
to use and hasa great sound. And the price of this mobile phone is quite
low. I don't have any problems with this phone for now. In my opinion
this is one of the best devices from LG Company.

ive had the gt500 on contract for 4 months now, ive only had 1 problem
with it which it froze when it got turned on, sent it off to t-mobile
n they gave me a loan phone to use, they sent the phone off for repair
took 2 weeks, not had a problem with it since, and bonus is that it
didnt cost me anything to get it repaired, would say to get on contract
rather than buying

This isn't the best phone i've had but it's not awful. I have also experienced
the 'maximum applications reached' when nothing is open, freezing sometimes
and messages stuck in the sent box... i'm sure there are better phones
out there but if you want a simple touch screen, this one is fine. On
a good note, the battery is far superior to many touch screens i've
seen and the applications are all easy to use.

Got recommended this phone by tmobile as an upgrade for my viewty. It
has most of the gliches outlined below. In principle it's a great phone
but with no support (lg don't even have it on their websites!) its a
dead duck. No dedicated crystal case, silicon case etc. I have messages
stuck in the phone I cannot delete. My advice - do not buy it as there
is no support for it when it goes wrong. I have no faith in the company
now so I wont buy or recommend any of their products. A proper company
would have addressed this by way of support or recall.

Really like the phone and the features. Can be a bit slow at times but
no really a problem. Two major issues though: 1. Keeps showing a message
'Maximum number of applications reached' it won't do anything once this
appears so needs a reboot to remove and happens far too regularly. 2.
LG's web site is next to useless and you can't get of hold of them anyway
so warranty is a waste of time! Good phone spoiled by lack of LG support!
Won't have another LG sadly.

I like the phone, but the following error message happens at least once
every fortnight....Error, Maximum applications reached. T mobile tell
me to remove the battery and reboot, but surely this should not happen
regularly. Going to take it into a T mobile shop and get it looked at
because it is actually annoying enough to make me swap the phone :-(

Loved this phone until it turned itself off and wouldn't come back on
unless I charged it!!! (no, the battery wasn't flat!). Screen freezes
every now and then and won't come back on unless you reboot it. Also,
it sometimes displys the message 'maximum applications in use' - or
something like that - even when I don't currently have anything running.
No help on LG website. :(

I have had this mobile for 2 weeks now, exclusive to T-Mobile. I have
upgraded from a LG Viewty. This phone is an updated, slightly slimmer,
version of the Viewty. LG have improved almost everything, the screen
is superb, touch response is excellent, colours crystal clear, menu's
are very clear and easy to follow. I tried the LG Arena but it was so
over complicated that it ruined the phone. The LG GT500's screen is
more responsive and the phones has a simple quality feel about it. I
have yet to find anything negative, battery life is excellent, particularly
if you use power save and bother to turn bluetooth on / off as and when
you need it. I believe this phone will be a real sucess and as a mid
range item its excellent.

Super phone - bit slow at times (eg switching on camera) but nothing
that can't be lived with. Unfortunately my touch screen crazed up after
three weeks - must have had a knock in my pocket but nothing heavy.
LG are essentially uncontactable and no-one wants to knw about warranty
or repair costs. I can't even register it on 'My T-Mobile' which claims
it doesn't exisst (although GT500 appears in the pull-down!)

I have had this phone for 3 weeks and it is awesome. I can use the stylus
or fingers to control the touchscreen, the touchscreen is very smooth
to operate. The 5 megapixel is excellent..wow. This is just a great
all round phone, so many excellent features. I paid £170 for this phone,
worth every penny. In my opinion, so much better than the iphone, which
I got rid of, for this phone.
