LG BP325 review
|Review: January 2014|
In a nutshell: The LG BP325 is a compact Blu-Ray player that includes 3D playback and an ethernet connection. For the money, you probably won't find another player that offers as much.
Design & looks
The LG BP325 is a compact Blu-Ray player. Its styling is simple, with a glossy black finish.
The player can play 2D and 3D Blu-Ray disks, including BD-R/-RE, as well as DVDs, including DVD+RW/+R. It can also play CDs, including CD-R and CD-RW. When playing DVDs, the player can upscale to full 1080p HD and is also capable of 2D to 3D conversion.
A single HDMI port is used for connecting to a HD-Ready television. Network access is via an ethernet connection, and a USB connection is available too. This lets you access music, photos or videos from a USB drive or device.
LG's Smart TV functionality is available via the ethernet connection.

A well priced Blue Ray 3d player. I came to the conclusion that it played my USA regiocode 1 discs, and as I am in regiocode 2 I derive that the player is regio-free. However, with my former player I could by using tulp-connectors the device with my amplifier. This machine offers only a coax-input, so this opportunity fails. While I also played cd's, this is a huge disavantage.
The player got lan-connection, so you could update your firmware of the apparatus. Also it provides the opportunity for some apps. However, there are only 3...YouTube, Weatherforcast, and some commercial product. So I wonder why that is on the device. If you got the blue ray player, you got also a HD (smart) television with the same (much extended) apps.
