LG 49UJ701V review
Review: August 2017 | ||
![]() Rating: In a nutshell: The LG 49UJ701V is a good mid-range 49-inch TV. It boasts a premium design, a comprehensive Smart TV system including Freeview Play, Freesat HD, Netflix, Amazon and NOW TV, and good picture quality with wide viewing angles. It's an excellent choice of family TV. |
LG UJ701V 49"
The 49-inch version of the LG UJ701V is a good money-saving option compared with the "Super-UHD" SJ801V. The design is very similar, and the only significant feature missing is the nano-cell technology, which means that the colours lose a little of their brilliance compared with the more expensive model. It's still a good choice of mid-range TV.
Our price target for this model is £700, and we hope that it will be selling for less than this in time for Black Friday 2017.

I’m primarily concerned about its input/display lag. It has 100
Hz, but will the missing nano-cell technology make it slow?

Had this particular model tv for a few months now you do need to read
the inbuilt user guide and you do need to do software updates and app
updates and then have a play with picture and sound settings once you
get all this done I think like me you will have a brilliant smart tv.
My broadband is not fast at around 4.6Mbps but I stream nowtv amazon
prime in HD YouTube plays fine since latest software update no
restarts as reported by other users live tv especially HD channels via
either aerial free view or dish Freesat this tv has twin tuner are
brilliant clear picture and rich sound no sound bar needed catch up tv
works fine I have used power line adapters to connect to my hub all in
all a really great tv does all what I want and I don’t like 2nd
best great mid range tv thanks LG life is great.

What are you talking about?!? it's an IPS screen not a VA, so the
viewing angles should be great. I have a uh630v VA screen TV and the
angles are horrible, unless you are sitting right in front of the
screen...

Hi David, please expand, I was expecting good viewing angles too - the
main reason I was about to buy this TV... thanks.
