Hotpoint WMEF943P review
|Review: January 2014|
In a nutshell: This washing machine offers the advantage of a large 9kg capacity, making it ideal for families and capable of washing bulky loads of bedding and towels. Energy efficiency is very good, with the maximum spin speed of 1400rpm able to remove about half the moisture content of the clothes. It offers a good range of features, although it's noisier in operation than some washers, especially in spin mode.

I have been having real problems with this machine as it struggles to wash my washing.
Shirts & tee shirts still come out smelling of BO. I am always using the heavy wash option as I have discovered it puts more water into the drum which helped initially as I was getting residue marks from soap powder.
I have now moved in desperation to just using liquid detergent which is better.
I often have taken to the old fashioned method of pre-soaking washing in the sink &/or scrubbing before washing. It is no where near as good as my previous Hotpoint. I am putting less in the drum & wish they were less worried about reducing the amount of water which is after all totally neccessary to wash.
Apart from the quick cycle all washes take 2-3 hours to complete which I presume is to reduce the amount of electricity used at any one point.
I agree the spin is good.
