Hoover DXA69AW3 review
|Review: April 2016|
In a nutshell: The Hoover DXA 69AW3 is a popular washing machine from Hoover's 2015 Dynamic Next range. With a hefty 9kg load capacity and a very fast 1600rpm spin speed, it's built to get the job done. Star features include the easy-to-use touch control panel, A+++ energy rating and range of fast washes. It's a noisy beast though, running at 58dB.
The Hoover DXA69AW3 washing machine seems solidly built, and has a clean, modern design, based around an easy-turn rotary dial to select the programme, plus a touch-operated LCD control panel.
Its 9kg wash load will be enough for family use, and busy households will benefit from its moisture-removing 1600rpm spin speed and range of fast washes. These include a 14 minute freshen-up option, a fast 30 minute wash, and a 1 hour mixed-load everyday wash. Hoover's Intelligent Wash system adjusts for the load size automatically.
There's a wide range of special wash options available, including a 60° Baby Wash, Wool & Silk care, Lingerie, and Delicates. Other options include Extra Rinse and Easy Iron.
The one thing we want to draw your attention to is that this is one of the noisiest washing machines currently available, especially during washing cycles, but also on spin.
It's also available with a 1400rpm spin speed, shaving about £50 off the price.

Had this machine 5 days and it's stopped working - no digital display showing to start the washing cycle. Also disappointed with the spin speeds, jumps from 1200 to 1600, nothing in between (1400) - clothes still coming out wet and need re-spun.
Tried contacting Hoover for advice, was on the phone 15 minutes with only an automated voice saying they were busy.
I've just got rid of a Beko machine that still worked but it had 5 door seals in less than 3 years.

This machine looks good with lots of wash options. If I put a large item in the machine such as a bath towel or bedding it will not spin on its cycle and I have to select the 1600 spin cycle to complete the wash. The machine is not very sturdy and extremely noisy. I cannot say that my clothes come out any cleaner than my old cheaper range washing machine and would not recommend it.
