EE 4G Broadband

 In a nutshell

Last updated October 2013

Everything Everywhere (EE) offers the first 4G mobile network in the UK.

Formed by the merger of T-Mobile UK and Orange UK and owned jointly by Deutsche Telekom and France Telecom, Everything Everywhere Limited is the UK's biggest communications company.

EE's 4G service launched in 11 cities - London, Manchester, Bristol, Birmingham, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Leeds, Liverpool, Sheffield, Glasgow and Southampton - on 30 October 2012. As of October 2013, the network covers 117 UK towns and cities with coverage of 70% of the population planned by the end of 2013.

4G speeds up to 100Mbps are theoretically possible, but in practice, download speeds of 8 - 10 Mbps are expected. Typical upload speeds are 5-6 Mbps. That's still a lot faster than typical 3G speeds. This extra speed will enable more use of the mobile web, especially video streaming.

Tariffs start at £12.99 per month for 1GB of data.

I am finally free of the worst broadband service which I have been trapped in for a year. Everyday I have had some issue such as no service or at other times watching the waiting icon circling endless. Simply don't sign up to EE. Worst customer service from a bunch of lying/couldn't give a damn staff and frankly EE have stolen my money for a year with no accountability of actually providing the service they claim they will give you. In the end I gave up customer services as who wants to talk to a muppet on a daily basis. Run away and use Talk Talk, BT or Sky where I have never had hardly any issues!!!
