In a nutshell: The WAQ283S1GB belongs to Bosch's Avantixx range and is an excellent washing machine. It has a generous 8kg wash capacity, a 1400rpm max spin speed and is very easy to use. But what makes it special are it's super-quiet operation (quieter than most Miele machines) and its incredible A+++ - 30% efficiency rating, meaning that it uses 30% less energy than the highest rating possible. It's not cheap, but it's highly recommended!

Why do the washing tabs always end up in the front of the door, wherever you put them in the washer?

I purchased this machine in November to replace my old faithful Bosch machine, all I can say it's the worst thing I have ever bought. It never spins correctly and the washing is too wet to put into the dryer, after numerous calls and emails with both the supplier and Bosch they are going to replace some parts. The reason given is that there are sensors on the machine for the balance. I only do 2 or three loads of washing each week as we are only 2 people, I been told to wash similar fabrics together, to put more in the machine etc etc, maybe my expectations were to high but you can't wash a pillow of even a small dogs bed as it just won't spin. Apparently all these machines are the same.

Purchased this model in August 2013 worked well for two and half years then the bearing failed. Cost of replacement parts is £207 before delivery charge labour £95 Bosch Custmer Service team don't want to know, cannot offer any help. I would have expected this machine to last longer given we are two adults with no children. Rubbish machine and whats more concerning RUBBISH CUSTOMER SERVICE....

Fabulous washing machine! So quiet in operation, easy to use and plenty of features. I think Terry was just unlucky, as he said, Bosch are generally reliable! I had my last Bosch machine for 15 years, let's hope this one lasts as long!

Had this machine for less than a month, noticed smoke coming from drum during spin. Contacted Bosch who will send out an engineer, and been advised not to use machine. Was also advised it could be the bearings which is puzzling as bearings on a brand new machine should not go, as the machine is only used once a week. Not happy as the machine is supposed to be good according to reviews. Always had Bosch machines and have been generally reliable.
